Remove Channels
Anybody know if there is a way to completely remove the news, weather, and photo channels from Wii. I will never use them and would like more room for games.
Thanks.

Don't think you can remove them.
And it's a bummer that the wii has such little storage space.
BTW: You only should get Wii Ware and N64VC games. You can use the emulator for the other VC games. Just saves a little space.

try going into the wii memory settings, then channels, then delete the weather and news channels.

Doesn't Work, If you do delete them then your Wii will have to do a system update and the channels will be back.

Well i doubt you can "fully" remove any channel that you can't remove from the data management. Because it wasn't meant to be deleted. Nintendo wii it detects its missing = update. Gecko loader.

^that should answer the problem.
If not, get the .wad uninstaller application.
It shouldn't be too hard to find;
Most people who have the .wad Installer have the uninstaller as well.

It's not going to uninstall Weather and News Channels. It only can uninistall channels added with Wad Installer.
There is a release that unintalls/installs wads called Wad Manager.

No you cannot just go to channels and remove the news, photo, weather channels. They are Nintendos channels they want you to have and cannot remove them. These are not wads and cannot be uninstalled with wad manager either. I was hoping somebody had a workaround hack so to speak to remove these awful channels cluttering up my Wii Menu.
Thanks.

You can delete them but they come back with a system update...
...which is forced apon you when you launch a disk, the traditional way.
Wad Manager un/installs wads.
