yes a backup of zelda wil work to run tp and install HBC, but remember you will need a modchip to run the game

I also read you could use a backup of Zelda as well for homebrew except I was unsure which save to use.....the rzde0.bin or rzde2.bin? Normally you look at the disc for the numbers/letters, if you guess wrong are there any negative effects?

The game code for Zelda Twilight Princess Wii is RZD
Then you add the region on the end: (example: RZDE)
E - USA
J - Japan
P - PAL Region

The TH save file should go here: /private/wii/title/gamecode/data.bin
(your save file should be always named: data.bin)
