Installed Homebrew CH, now how do I....?
ok I installed the Homebrew Channel using the ISO/DVD method (No TP hack stuff to deal with).
So now I have the Homebrew channel which when I click on it, it quckliy checks for SD card then there is nothing besides a flashing icon on the bottom right corner which I don't know what it is.
Anyway, my question is do I now have to install Wad Manager or Wad Installer? if so which one? I would prefer the one that resides inside the HB channel rather than create a new channel for it.
I have Wad-Installer.dol and Wad-Installer.elf (v2) - Not sure what to do with those.
I tried just creating a "wad" directory and putting the Opera channel wad in there and inserted the SD into the Wii but HB did not show anything. Yes I have it formatted to FAT (not FAT32).
So basically how do I proceed now?
TIA

INSTALLING THE WADS WITH HOMEBREW CHANNEL
-download the wad manager: [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]
-copy, the folders, "apps" and "wad" to your sd card.
-place any of the .wad files into the "wad folder" (you can rename the wads, but keep them short)
- insert SD card in your Wii and launch the Homebrew channel
-run Wad Manager through the homebrew channel
-will show a list of wads in the "wad" folder, press + to install a selected wad (press - to uninstall)
-the wad will install and then show up as a new channel
NOTE: keep the wads and don't rename them after install, to fully uninstall you will need to use wad manager and have the wads on the SD card, as the same name as before

Thanks JiiPrah, that was exactly what I needed. Is there something out there that will allow you to install wads selectively vs. having to install them all? Your post said you should be able to use the + button to select them, but it just installs them all.
What version of the Wad Manager was that?

I followed the instructions in the following post, it has the link for the Home Brew Kit that you download and save to your SD and then just save the wads in the wad folder on the SD. Once you insert the SD in wii, go to the HB channel, click on the Wad Manager then choose what you want to install.

Use Wad Manager, it installs and uninstalls.
The rar file in my post above has Wad Installer, Uninstaller, and Manager. Just use Wad Manager you don't need the other two. [Only Registered Users Can See Links. Click Here To Register]
In Wad Manager it will show a list of the wads in the "wad" folder
-press up/down select a wad
-press + to install selected wad
-press - to uninstall a selected wad

Thanks for the clarification. I must have been so excited to get the Homebrew Channel installed that I just saw Wad Installer and went for it.

I kept all of them. Once I unzipped, I copied all the files & folders to the SD card as they are, then copy the .wad file you want to install into the wad folder on the SD card. Then insert the SD into the Wii, start up the HB channel, it will show the Wad Installer. Click on it. It will list the .wad files that you had copied into the wad folder of the SD. Use up/down to go o the one you want to tinstall ten press + to install.
