Wii homebrew channel help

I'm new here and ive just started getting into wii hacking. What i wanna know is once i have the homebrew channel on my wii menu, can i get rid of the boot.elf file in my sd card's root directory? I want to do this because I want to get the wad installer on the wii menu too and you cant have 2 boot.elf files in the directory.

Thanks!

yes once you have HBC installed its installed on you wii and the boot.elf can be deleted. I would recommend you use wad manager because it dose both (un)install. You should always run homebrew with HBC and not have separate channels because it uses unnecessary space. why have a channel of a program when you can run it with HBC

ok ive got a problem....
Ive got the homebrew channel installed and it warned me that i had a newer version than the channel was tested for.

i have menu version 355 (V22 USA)
says its only tested and working for
290 (V18)

when i run the channel it runs fine but when i load something it just stopes on loading 0% and does not go any where else?????

any ideas?????

hmm that mean you will have to format the wii and try again, or it can be the sd card format the sd card with fat 16 and see if that solves the isues if not try a different sd card, but in none work then your last resort will be to format the wii.
