I took my Wii apart but am having a little problem getting it back together.

The white plastic cover for the controller ports does not close all the way. It seems to be because the black plactic cutout cover that goes around the ports is not sitting flush and sticking up just a bit at the bottom. I can not get one of the little black plastic "hooks" to stay snapped in. It seems like maybe there is piece of metal on the inside that is blocking it. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

You have to put the black piece that covers the ports on first before you put the face on. This way it slips in behind the face...If you don't do it right then you will get exactly what happened to you.
