Japanese Wii
Hi all, I recently purchased a Wii from Japan not too long ago. What seemed like a reputable retailer over there was selling games for cheap and so I picked up a bunch. All the games work fine, but upon further inspection, they may be burned. The games do not work in my US Wii. I can only conclude this Wii has a mod-chip pre-installed from the retailer.
Thinking I could make a quick buck and sell one here while demand was high, but not realizing the actual menus were in Madarin, I purchased a second Wii from Japan. This one however, would not play the games the first one would play and therefore is not modded. The language is also in Mandarin. My question is this, can I flash the Wii to use the English OS like my American Wii? Eventually, I'd like to put a mod-chip in and have the English language, but right now the English language is the key part.
Side note, video output is NTSC, so it works fine here on TV's in the states.
