Any way to fix bricked Wii DVD drive? Firmware OK it seems.
Is there any way to fix a bricked Wii DVD drive?
I interrupted a game update... do not know if game was PAL, US or etc. Wii menu and everything still works but it cannot recognize discs. Wii settings are still available and Wii was able to update by internet to 3.2U but that didn't fix the problem. Wiikey is also installed. It will not recognize original games (Wii sports), backups (tried to fix with SMG), or even Wiikey discs including Config 1.3 discs (tried US, JP, and PAL). Also will not recognize gamecube discs. It will attempt to read the disc but then after spinning for a while show an error message saying the disc in unrecognized.
Any help or is it impossible to unbrick the DVD drive?? Thanks!
