It's not free. It costs 500 wii points to get the browser.

I'm pretty sure you can download the wii browser setup through limewire and put it on an sd card and pop it in your wii. I'm not liable if you get in trouble though. It's your responsibility.

As much as I would love to think that this is true I really doubt it is. I'm pretty sure it operates just as the virtual console games, which are coded to the specific wii. Simply copying them over doesn't work. If this wasn't the case, I'd imagine we'd probably see at least a torrent or two for this.

Well I guess it's because i had the trial version of it first cause that was free and the updates for it is free so i didn't have to pay for it

I am sure when wiiware comes out that somebody will bring firefox to the wii for free. I wish it so much!

I've read reports the Team Xbril 23, a homebrew gamecube team are currently working on a glitch found in the origanal trial Opera browsers. This has lead them to be able to muniplulate the wii verification key assigned to each individual program when download. Hopefully this will lead to not only ways of getting free wiiware, but other software not commonly found on consoles. (Such as ftp and other web tools)
