I only get 222, 223, or 250 as my options.

Okay. You need to fully softmod your wii. Follow this guide-->http://www.wiihacks.com/recommended-...d-any-wii.html
Read it a couple of times, and then proceed. Any questions along the way, post them in the linked thread.
Once finished, you'll be able to play skylanders no probs.

one quick question. The only memory card (other than the one already inside the Wii) is a Transcend 32 GB card that is a 4. Will this work or should I get a 2 gig card?

I'd use the one already in the Wii, as it seems to work.
But we do recommend 2gb SD cards, as they achieve best results.

So I followed the guide to the letter. I did EVERYTHING and guess what - it works perfectly. Thank you 1000 times and my son thanks you a million times! I also got a nice education and realized it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought. The only thing I would change on the guide would be to have all the files that need to be downloaded listed first because it took a while on my DSL line to download them and then learned that more had to be downloaded. But I'd certainly do it all over again! This is great.

Your syscheck looks fine, and the game should load with
IOS 223, or 247. If that fails, try deleting the game from
the HDD, and re-ripping it using your original disc.
I deleted, then reinstalled the game like you said and, VOILA!! It WORKS!
Thanks for all the help from you and JAX.
    My kid's greatly appreciate it.

    Hello All

My son has just got a Skylanders Giants for christmas. However I am experiencing some problems with the portal.

Please help, we have used this whole day debugging and my son is very sad :-(

I have a Wiikey2 hardmodded Wii, and I just today upgraded to 4.1E System, and all the IOS from the ALL softmod guide.

I can load the game fine from both DVD and CFG loader, the portal is recognized, and the portal shows the character I place on it but then claim: 'A toy on the Portal of Power has a problem'. I changed the language to norweigian, and suddently it worked, but then went back like before after reboot. And now it didn't help to change language :-)

    This is a syscheck:

Your Homebrew channel is running on the wrong IOS. Yours is running on IOS37,
when it should be running on IOS58. Re-install the Homebrew channel using bannerbomb,
and then it should run on IOS58 by default. You should then have USB support that should
    resolve your problem.

Just on a side note. If ever you need to post a syscheck again, please put it in a spoiler. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I upgraded the Homebrew to IOS58

It still doesn't work, could it be another problem?

    Here is the new syscheck:
