It's going to be difficult chaps, without a syscheck sheet for the mods to be able to help, go here, http://www.wiihacks.com/other-faq-gu...tem-check.html

not that you need telling but it's fairly simple to do.

I managed to get the latest ver from here, We Brew Wii: sysCheck 2.1.0 b18 I used this version myself to re-check my wad installation.

Update your usb loader of choice to the latest revision.
Your syscheck looks fine, and the game should load with
IOS 223, or 247. If that fails, try deleting the game from
the HDD, and re-ripping it using your original disc.

    Us

Ok, first of all I apologize if this has been covered, but this is my first post. I'm not even sure of the terminology so please be patient with me. I have a wii (obviously) that I purchased already modded. It has a laptop external hard drive and a memory card. I install games and then play them from the hard drive (without the disc in). On my main screen I have the disc button, then below that I have USB Loader GX, and below that I have Wii Flow. I use Wii Flow to launch all of the games and have had absolutely no problems. This system is about 2 years old. I recently purchased Skylander Giants for my son and am having problems with the Wii finding the portal of power. I have tried loading the game from USB Loader GX, Wii Flow, and using the disc button on the main screen. When I use the disc button the screen turns black and freezes. When I use Wii Flow and USB Loader GX it does not locate the portal. I'm not sure if I am soft booting or what so I'll probably need an education on this. I'll do whatever told to do as my kid is totally brokenhearted about this game. Thank you in advance for your help.

No mention of the Homebrew channel installed on your Wii? Okay, try something first.
Load usb loader GX and go to the game in question. Click on settings. Then go to "IOS".
Change it from 249, to 223, or 247. Then save settings, and try and launch the game.

Do that first, and report back.

Forgot to mention this is the portal with the cord plugging directly to the Wii. It lights up, but as stated before it is not recognized . Thanks again.

When I start USB Loader GX, I see the games and as soon as I click on the game title it tries to launch the game. I also have homebrew on one of the channels if that matters at all. I do see an icon when the game titles are listed, but it is nothing specific to any game. Sorry I don't mean to be more trouble than I'm worth.

    Please use the Edit function.

I clicked on settings and have 3 pages of things listed. I do not see one for IOS.

    Please use the Edit function.

Sorry. I forgot to say "Game Load".
So click on the game, then settings,
then game load, scroll to game IOS,
and change it to either 223, or 247.

OK, didn't have the parental controls unlocked, sorry. I changed it to 223, but not sure if it saved that as the setting. I restarted Skylanders and the same result.

EDIT: When I try to chang the IOS it says Hermes CIOS USB Loader GX will only run with Hermes CIOS rev 4! Please make sure you have revision 4 installed! It changes to 223, but not sure if that is remaining as the default because if I try to tplay the game then go back to the Wii menu and back to USB Loader and back to the IOS setting is is at 249 again.
