    Hello everybody,

Long time I did not post to wiihacks.

I have read the important messages of this thread but did not come to a solution. When I lauch the game on USB, I get the warning screen telling to safely attach the strap of the wiimote. During this, all LED on the wiimote switch off and it seems like I lose control. Then the screen switch to a black screen which freezes, wiimote leds flicker back, just as the wiimote is unsynchronized, and there is nothing else I can do anymore, except hardreseting the wii.
-European Wii, Softmoded with the great "sofmod any wii guide" I (re)did from scratch yesterday.
-I have got the original game, European Fr and I dumped it myself. I should mention the original game works perfectly from the disc channel.

This should NOT be a problem of the video of first time playing wii motion plus game. I already watched it with Wii Sport, and tried to watch it again on zelda on disc channel to check if it changed anything.
Then following this thread, I tried to erase and do a dump of the game again, in case of bad dump. Still useless.
I tried all free loaders given by the guide and this led me to the same frustrating result. I also tried the three different IOS (248, 249, 250) on Configurable USB Loader.
I also tried to put back default lauching options, to no avail.
I did not try to install the wads in the first post since the ones installed in maui's guide should be functionnal and seemed more up to date.
But now I am running a bit out of ideas... This is frustrating because each one of my others games work without any problem.
I know I can just keep the disc in the wii all the time, but this solution is a bit inelegant.

To anyone who will gladly come back to this rather old post and give me time for advice, I say thank you in advance.

This is all I can suggest for you to do.

Please Post a system check, so we can see whats installed.

    Hello Jax,

Thanks for helping and answering so quickly. You haven't solved my problem yet, but you already rocks.

Yes I did try to change the dol (and watched again the video...)
Then lauched back the game, with default dol, but it won't work.

Here is the syscheck. He spatted it to me in french! I had to translate it, it should be fine:

    My syscheck

By the way, how do you change the default "spoiler" name on the spoiler band?

Syscheck is good. What loader are you using to rip the game? Try using a different one to see if that helps.

And I edited your spoiler tag. Click Edit Post to see how it was done.

If what CJ suggested don't work, you might want to try ripping the game with cleanrip...see if that helps.

    Problem partly solved. Thanks!

    Hello both of you.

    Thanks for answers and advices.

For the RIP, I first used Configurable USB Loader (CFG).
On your advice, I tried to do a rip with GX Loader, but it gave me the very same result. For that reason, I did not try to rip the game with wiiflow.

The thing is, I really thought cjizzle idea was right. Since all my games work properly, a bad rip made sense. Since I did not see Jax message at that time, I tried something else, which is... Well, that should not be written on that forum .
We will say a friend lend me its rip to test it and it seemed to work (at least, the game started without black screen and I could play it).
But this is a bit worrying for my good old wii. Could that mean the disc reader is tired or something? I will try cleanrip for a shot to see if it is more a wii problem or a "game hard to rip" problem.

Thank you both again. You rock. Wiihacks community rocks.

PS: As for the spoiler banner, I was almost there. I just put some quotation mark which were unnecessary...

Could be your drive is having problems with ripping or it could just be it's having problems with that one game.
Sometimes this happens with the games while ripping them.
For example, I could never get a good rip of Super Mario Galaxy to rip right at all, but others would with no problem.

To solve that problem I had to get a Digital copy from a trustful source.
That was going to be the last thing I would have suggested.

You could test if your drive is having problems by ripping another game and see if it produces the same problems as with this game.
Either way, we are glad your problem is solved.

So nice a site donator had a problem with this game so that we could get some help. Seems a bunch of people have trouble with it. I get lots of random black screen freezes.

    Things to try.
    1) Clean Rip
2)A different hard drive (I seen someone report all games except this worked on one harddrive, but this game worked on a different hard drive. I seemed to have seen this as well though not tested thoroughly as I only played the game for about 15 minutes. I played my rip at a friends house on there harddrive to test it out after modding their wii and it seemed to work fine. )
    3) Find a trusted source to get a digital copy from

I had the same problem, and looked in this thread for the solution. I'm not an expert, but I tell you what I did to solve it (this is a 2011 thread, so I guess that this guy by now already found a solution; but maybe someone out there is as dumb as I am and find this useful...).

Use CFG loader, select the Skyward Sword game and then the option tab. Make sure the IOS is on 249. In the second page you'll see the alternative dol option, change it, save and start the game. Select player.dol option, press A and a short video about the Wii Motion Plus will play. The game will crash one last time. Reset your Wii, and restart the game with CFG (the normal way); the game will calibrate your Wii Motion Plus, and then you are ready to go.
The problem is, as bmarlo stated the: "wii motion plus thing", so if what I did doesn't work for you, you can try his solution.
    Good Luck.

I'm going out on a limb here to see if I can get my problem fixed but I've tried a lot so far. Okay, I've just recently bought a wii that was upgraded to 4.3U. I used the Softmod ANY Wii guide and got my games working perfectly. I just recently bought a Wii Motion Plus controller so I bought Skyward Sword from my brother and ripped it. I tried following everything on this guide and I just can't seem to get it to work. Here's what I've done so far:

-Ripped the game to iso format.
-Put it on my external Hard drive [Toshiba Canvio 3.0 1TB]
-I loaded CFG usb loader and set the alt to Player.dol and loaded the game

The Wii motion plus video played fully, then the screen went black, and did not come back on. After hard rebooting my wii, I tried to load the game with the default dol, and got another endless black screen. I switched back to the Player.dol, and the Wii motion plus videos came back, only this time with a menu allowing me to choose which videos I wanted to watch and button that says "return to game". Pressing that button lead to another endless black screen.

I'm out of ideas here, not sure what's wrong and I'm new to the Wii modding scene. Here's a syscheck I just loaded from my wii.

    Spoiler

If anyone can tell me what I can possibly do to get this game running, it would be greatly appreciated.
