What loader are you using to rip the game with on the Wii?

Okay I have a little question, and I apologize if it had been done before.
So yeah, I'm getting this game with the wii motion plus wiimote bundle, and it'll be the first wii motion plus game i'll get.
My wii is a hardmod/softmod hybrid ver. 4.1U and I softmodded it with Dogeggs' guide back in 2009.
The question is, do I have to update my softmod or can I load it with the disc channel? I assume this game doesn't need a firmware update, I may be wrong.
The, "You have to watch the intro video first" thing confuses me.
Is the video within the game, or does loading the game installs the intro video?

Well, thanks in advance, and sorry if I'm a bother.

The game will ask to update unless you have priiloader installed and set up correctly. I am pretty sure you will need to update the Ios to get it to run via disc unless you have kept them up to date. All the info you need should be in the first post already. The retail disc will have the video on it.

Yes you will need to update some stuff if you haven't touched your mod since doing dogeggs guide. Just follow the Softmod ANY Wii guide from start to finish, starting in the section "Softmods with Homebrew Channel Installed". The video you speak of loads the first time you play a game that uses motion plus. If you are loading from the original disc you will not have to do anything different. If you are loading from a backup, that's when you will have to make a few changes.

    EDIT: Yeah, what skell said....lol

I read about six pages of this thread and have given up trying to read more. Many of the links that I think would solve my problems don't work or the link does work but the solution contained in the link doesn't work.

I saw others post about being complete noobs, and I saw links to help them. I am a complete noob. My wii was softmodded about two years ago. Since then I have done very little to it. When I see a post to install cios something or other, I wonder how do I do that?

I have tried to find the softmod any wii guide with no success. This game is for my 13 year old son, and we can't get it working. We must use backup copies rather than originals because our originals end up scratched and unusable.

I would read more of the thread as per the rules, but honestly most of it is gibberish to me. What is not gibberish doesn't apply to me or it doesn't work.

I am not technologically challenged, but I am softmod challenged. Please help, and I am sorry to have to ask without reading the entire 36 page thread. I basically need to be taught to do this as though I was technologically challenged.

I don't know what versions I of everything I have. I know I am using USB Loader GX. I am pretty sure my wii is 4.3.

For best results it would be best for me to take away what I have and resoftmod my wii. I would rather start all over again than try to troubleshoot this. I just dont' know how to start over again.

    No player.dol choice

Hi folks. Currently can't run Zelda, my son's Christmas gift. Have went through 36 pages of this forum.

    - Updated Wii from AnyWii guide on Dec 24, 2011 to get MW3 working.
    - Using factory original Zelda disk.
    - Neogamma R9 b52
    - d2x38v7final (249)

Problem 1: My bootmii is no longer working and am unsure of how to get the cios changed to 250.

Problem 2: I cannot get to the motion plus video. In Neogamma, I don't have "player.dol" as an option under "Altern ,dol:" I only have the choices of: "No", "Storage", "Disc", "Disc+", "Disc+ only"

I have a motion plus controller but can't see the video.

    M
