Try deleting your game and then re-installing it. Sometimes this makes a difference. Also delete your online update file from the Wii System memory. DON'T DELETE YOUR GAME SAVE DATA!!!

Thanks for the info and the help. Much appreciated. I looked and I have no update file in the system memory. I will try re-installing the game.

Weird question, but is it true that MW3 can ruin Wii DVD Drives and if so, I got my Red Mario Wii on Dec of 2010 and I was wondering if that's considered good enough for my Wii to last a long while with MW3's constant streaming from the disc?

The Wii doesn't have enough RAM to load an entire map into the RAM. So the game is constantly loading from the disc instead. This is also why some larger maps get shrunk on the Wii. Your Wii should be able to handle playing the game, though. It wouldn't hurt to consider hacking it and using a USB loader to play games from a USB hard drive. This will certainly extend the life of your drive.

EVERY disc wears on the laser.. USB loading is faster and saves the laser from any damage.

Did I come off like a jerk?? Read more here

I'm softmodded already, but I don't have a hard drive at the moment to put MW3 into yet

I would definitely recommend it ASAP! Get a cheaper 320 GB or 250GB. You don't need much hard drive space to store 100 games. I have a 500GB and only like 50 games. It makes things easier. No more going through a drawer full of games. Open the loader, load the game, and enjoy.

I just transferred my .iso to my HDD but when I launch the game using USB loader GX, it goes back to the main screen (the one with disc channel, homebrew channel, etc.). I switched the cios from 249 to 250, but still just returns to the main menu after I click on the blue spinning DVD image on the USB loader GX. One thing I'm not sure is how to change the base to 57. Anything else I might have missed? By the way, this is the first game that I'm trying to load, so anything is possible.
    PS - I'm using a 1GB memory stick

Well, first off this game is a lot bigger than 1GB. You will need a USB drive more than 4 times that size. You definitely did not rip it correctly... ... ..
