If your downloading the games off torrent sites etc, Then all you need is IMGburn program (its free) your burn the games at 2x or 4x speed and use verbatim dvd-r discs.

If your trying to make copies of originals yourself, you will need a special lg dvd rom drive to read the discs, Check out this tutorial on doing that

I am trying to copy games but all this tech jargon ex.homebrew, iso or whatever is making things complicated and chance of an explination so that a thick Irishman could understand

    Basically

You require a special drive that is able to create a dump of a game disc to your pc using software called raw dumper, It generally takes several hours to do, Once you have an "image" of the game on your computer, You can then burn a replica with your dvd burner and it will play on some backup loaders, or with the aid of a modchip

This is just a brief description, It gets more detailed then that

But I would suggest, If you don't have the specified drive to start with, You will either have to buy one of them, Or just download your games off the internet and burn them.

there is a tute on here by a user called canadian empororer or something like that the easiest i have found..i have been going thru the same thing only a couple of weeks into the whole wii hacking...boy have a learnt alot

bsically you need to buy a sd card 2gb
after you get your wii chipped you have to install the homebrew channel..this sounded heaps harder than it was..just do it step by step.
you copy the files over to your sd card as instructed and supplied.
i got stumped as you had to have played the twilight game before running the hack so just go hire as i did...
once installed the homebrew channel you then need to downgrade your version of firmware to 3.2 (files also supplied that you transfer over to your sd card and open in the homebrew channel)you can go downt he bottom of your wii click on the wii symbol it will tell you what version you are on.
you then install the few other things to like starfall that will stop your games updating to avoid bricking your wii...personally i only have been getting pal as i have a pal console.
i ordered a sd card adapter to stick in the memory card hole however i found another tute on here that was ace on backing up your original or rented in my case games over the wifi but i didnt tackle this until i had all the rest under control hehe but once you get it you will just get it hehe

if i can do it mother of three kids then you can do it search for some tutes and read lots first. and for gods do not update your pal system with a ntsc game..or vise versa...you are asking for brickage...

here is the tute i used
    http://www.wiihacks.com/faq-guides-t...atutorial.html

and the burning over wifi i used...
    http://www.wiihacks.com/dumping-burn...omebrew-5.html

    hope that helps

Lets try not to confuse the poor fella further

It can be done over wifi from your wii to the pc, It is supposed to put some extra load on the laser and if you did it a fair bit you might end up with needing to replace the laser.

fyi the tutorial for wifi dumping is listed here

I have a Pioneer 111D and burned games using IMGBurn but I even when I choose 2x speed the burn is executed at 4x. Anyone know why ? Is this because the driver or the media. And itīs true that only LG drivers can read original wii games?
