Will a PAL Konami Dance Mat work on NTSC game ?

    Hello,

I bought me an official Konami Dance mat for the wii with
Dancing Stage game. (UK's name for DDR Hottest Party 1)
    obviously PAL.
Someone is offering to sell me a DDR Disney Groves game they brought back from USA.
    It is NTSC.
My question is: with PriiLoader installed and set as region-free, I assume the game work, but will my PAL mat work on this NTSC game.
Thanks in advance for your replies.

It wouldn't just be the region free in priiloader, you may need to use a backup loader like Neogamma of a USB loader, but I don't see any reason why the region of the dance pad should matter.

I can do that - I have USB loader GX and can make a backup onto my Hard-drive.
But why should that be better than Priiloader with the disk inserted.
In any case I couldn't imagine a mat being region-restricted until I saw someone on ebay - claiming to sell a PAL-only dance mat for the Wii.

Does anyone know for sure before I risk it.

Why wouldn't it work? It's hardware. I doubt there is a difference between the two and if there is I'm sure it would only be cosmetic. All the wiring and circuitry is going to be the same. I have various Japanese components and controllers for various systems that all work fine on my US systems; Including some that were never released here in America like the dual stick for the Sega Saturn.

Well, that's what I am thinking - the hardware should be built the same for all regions.
I just hoped someone here might have had the experience themselves and therefore would know for sure whether it will
    work or not.
But thanks anyway for your answers.
Anyone out there who has tried testing their dance mats? Please let us know.

Okay. For all those who want to know, I have tried out a Konami dance mat that came with Dancing Stage Hottest Party (region PAL)
with the Disney Grooves game (region NTSC), and it WORKED just fine.
My Wii is PAL and I used USB loader GX to run my backups.
