Why No Street Fighter For The Wii Yet?

I am an old school gamer, love all the SNES classic's but why has capcom not released a new Street Fighter title yet for the wii?

I know there's Tatsunoko V Capcom, but it aint that good.

I want a good old street fighter game with all the old classic characters, something along the lines of SNK V STREET FIGHTER, that was my fave release on the PS2.

Or is there something in production already that I am unaware off?

    Anyone here feel the same?

I'm a super huge SF fan. MAME runs SF, SF2, and SF2's derivatives arcade perfectly. I haven't severely play tested the Alpha series yet so I'm unsure how well they run but they are listed as working. There are also a bunch of VC SF2 games...I can think of 5 off the top of my head. But it would be nice if Capcom would release an actual SF collection on the Wii.

Give me a little while and I'll see if I can find a way. I've been spending too much time with MAME lately.

After playing around with 1, 2, and 3 for a few minutes it seems like you 100% correct. I even tried dropping a few other SF games in the while I was at it like I had to when I got HF working. I'll be revisiting it soon enough so maybe if a play around a bit more I can find a working combination. Probably not though and I'll have to strike them from my list...Damn you MAME on the Wii!

Sega genesis has 2 more buttons than the wii, lol. I love street fighter as much as the next guy, but don't think "N" will be able to the the stretch arm punch just right with the sensor bar. I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you.

There is always the classic controller (regular or pro), the GC controller, or they could make you buy one of these or similar:

They could also make use of a shift button like when you play SF2 Turbo on the 3DO.
