I have always burnt to the same dvdr, and all games work just fine, could it be just this game that needs to be burnt slowly or you think its software issue?

    I doubt that it's a software issue. You could try uLoader in combination with 222 [38 base] v4, 223 [37+38 merged] v4 or 224 [57 base] v5.1.

This worked for me. Running latest USB Loader GX with cIOS 223. However, if I eject the disc while playing the game, the game will stop and gives me an "Insert disc" error again. So it seems like I need a disc in the tray at all times to play Donkey Kong.

Update on my issue for those who still looking for the anwser

I have now burnt the TDK dvdr at 4x speed, loading times have improved just a little, so far no freezing, still running 249 rev17, loading with neogamma 9 latest release.

burning at x4 was the lowest option for me. So for those who are burning dvds i suggest burning at lowest setting! Good luck to everyone else, i will also start testing other cios that i have just recieved some suggestions on, take care all!

wow, kkainth321 is right! In order to play DK in GX, you have to put any disc inside the wii Loaded with cIOS 223 and it works perfectly!!

I'm getting the disc could not be read error. I'm on 4.2U running Neogamma R9 b47 softmodded using ShadowSonic's guide. I tried installing the latest IOS56 but it still won't load - gets stuck after the white controller screen. I burned the backup on a Verbatim DVD-R. Any ideas what could be going on here?

EDIT: Disregard. Burned it again at 2x and it works so far on Neogamma.

Well I am experiencing some other problems with DKCR

I have the latest cIOS , as in this thread , and trying to play from USB HDD with cfg usb loader I have these issues:

    (1) cIOS 249 , starts fine BUT in random points my wii remote gets disconnected . Eventually it stalls at some game point looping the same scene
    (2) cIOS 222 , starts fine no wii remote reconnects BUT is also stalls at random game points
    (3) cIOS 223 seems to be 100% fine BUT whenever I exit the game , my wii halts....

    Any ideas?

Hit RESET on your Wii, or choose ''Reset'' in the HOME Menu, to return to the Health & Safety Screen. Not exactly what you wanted to hear, I guess, but it works.
