    Hello,

    I have softmodded my wii.
I run normally IOS58, but this topic specifies to run 222, 223 or 249 for this game.
I adjusted Wiiflow to use 222 (v4) and 223 (v4)but i get the error "Disc_SetUSB failed". Cios 249 is installed, but i cannot choose it...
    Standard, i use 58...
What can i do to run this game?

    Allready thanks!

I don't know about that error. Delete and reinstall the game, use Cfg loader if possible. Maybe search in google for Wiiflow and the error, not really sure. Should work fine if your loader is setup right.
    Damn I suck!!!!

I just burned Donkey Kong Country Returns yesterday(First backup burn). I used my last Taiyo Yuden 8X dvd(TYG02). I'm rather sad about that LOL! I love those discs. I suppose the 16X discs are agreeable though. But my question is, are the read speeds still limited to 3X speed, after all this time? I can't seem to find a modern thread which talks about this read limit in burned disc speed. I understand how the coders did the workaround. But surely there's a way to get around this limitation. I also run a USB loader. I love it. But somebody wants me to modify their wii, just to run burned/backup disks. They can't afford a USB drive.

Perhaps Donkey Kong is one of the few games that runs kind of slow when loading off of burned discs?

Is it also true that brand spanking new wii's CANNOT run backup disks at all? Even with a softmod?

    Thanks for the confirmation. Unfortunate...

Guess I'll have to strongly recommend a USB HDD. My brother certainly loves his Supposedly, my friend bought his BLACK wii only a couple months ago. No doubt it has an updated drive, to prevent burned discs.

Donkey Kong is working fine for me now... I just had another iso file on my hdd... and the problem was solved. I think the image was bad...
I also saw that wiithon couldn't convert the image... With my new image, it was no problem...
