Another user who BLINDLY ASKS A QUESTION that's answered at the very top of the guide. This I believe after starting another thread and failing to find this one to ask about that in the first place. Congratulations, you have Basic Fail 101 covered.

Let me put it this way: you were told in your other thread to install Priiloader to block updates. This thread right at the top says "will install 4.2 --- don't accept the update." Are you telling me that's too much a leap of logic for you to make the obvious conclusion?

I just got this game today for Christmas but when I insert this game into my Wii I get message saying that a disc update is required. Yes I know that there are many people asking this question and are asked to look at this guide but the link to download the cI0S38 rev17 isn't working right now. Is there anything else I can do for the moment? I'm sorry if this has already been answered, I'm just really eager to play.

So does this link contain the same pack as the link on the first page of this topic used to install cIOS38 rev17? If so all I need to do is extract this to my SD Card and boot up Homebrew right?

Edit: I can't get this to work, I cannot access the Multi-Mod Manager that I am stated to click on in the instruction for Disc Loaders when I enter Homebrew.

mate all you need to do is install priiloader 0.4 and block online updates and block disk updates then install cIOS38 rev17 just install it, then run the game through neogamma and it will work thats what i did!!

    Alright, now I'm stumped
Earlier i had a problem with Sonic Colours which would lock out all controllers and keep playing the opening,i tried deleteing the save, updating Cios, Ios, my loaders, tried all the loaders
same problem, then i actually got Sonic Colours for christmas so i ran the disk through the loaders...same problem i couldn't belive it
so i thought screw it and updated my wii from 4.2E to 4.2E i don't know why the disk wanted me to update but after that it worked on the disk channel
since i still had the homebrew channel i re-modded my wii...and the problem happened again so i had to update with the disk again, can anybody help me with this, there must be a way to keep on this update but still run backups.

Edit: Alright i finally got a syschecker to work hope it isn't too messed up

When are people going to learn that updating their Wii is never a solution? *sigh*
Follow the hardmod part of this guide (yes, the hardmod part), and it should run fine through the Disc Channel.
Don't be stupid and skip Priiloader, because it will solve your updating issue.

And as far as the problem with the loader goes --- are you using back-up discs, or are you playing from an external harddrive? This is important information. I'm almost sure it is user-error, and that there's a way to solve this problem.

When the controllers would disconnect, were there two or more WiiMotes connected at the same time? If so, it could possibly cause your problem. I myself also experience disconnecting problems when playing with two people or more. With a simple click on ''Reconnect'' in the HOME Menu, this is easily fixed though.

And a little sidenote: Hide your Console ID in the SysCheck. The number isn't important to anybody, and should only be known by you.
