I'm still struggling with this, syscheck didnt give me much info, so I tried syscheck gx, and this report is much more complete

I really appreciate the help so far mr bandicoot, but if you could see your way to giving me some guidance I am truly lost in a sea of cios's and revisions and trucha bugs - its making my head spin.

is there anything obviously wrong here? anything obviously absent that should be there? anything that shouldnt be there that is?

I hate to come across as a nagging n00b, but I cant get sonic, or donkey kong, or Michael Jackson to work at all. everything else works fine. I just updated to 4.1 using the link in a sig above, because I thought maybe my 3.1e might have been the problem, but the issues still remain. I tried all the video options, with english as the language, and am using usbloadergx with a seagate hdd formatted to wbfs. as I said - everything else works a treat.

Games are completely irrelevant from your firmware and System Menu! It doesn't hurt that you've updated to 4.1 anyway, because 4.1 is fully supported by Priiloader, and 3.1 isn't.

Well, one thing you could try, is re-install the game to your harddrive. Already done so? Try again, because you can't be sure enough.
If that doesn't help, I suggest you to try Configurable USB Loader; GX is a failing loader in my opinion, and I have had many issues with it before, which were all solved by changing to CFG. See the guide in my signature to install CFG.

Yes, the game should work after following the hardmod guide. Remember to install Priiloader to block disc updates.

If you own an NTSC copy of the game, and install the update on a PAL Wii, it will install the wrong System Menu, channels and EULA, resulting in a semi-brick.
Don't update your Wii via any game, follow a guide to update a specific IOS instead. The hardmod section of this guide works with all Wiis.

    Thumbs up

Im having problem with Sonic Colours.
Game loads up to with no problems.
I can start new game... I can play Act 1 and Act 2. After these levels I can save game. After saving game loads map screen where I could choose next level. On this poist game doesnt respond to any wiimote commands, it freezes some how. Animation on map screen is still working/running. Only exit from game is press power button from wii to shutdown whole wii. After that when i load up game again. And if i load save game its freezes similar way as I said earlier on this post.

I have tested all options what was on this thread first post. I have tested 'USB Loader GX' and 'CFG loader' with all cios options. My wii is PAL 4.2 and
softmoded long time ago and cios updated as "Wanin and Hermes cIOS Wads...." - thread. And I also installed all options as first post said. I have also installed "Ios58-installer".

I have removed game from my hd and added that back to drive few times. I have also removed save game data as well, but still game acts as i earlier wrote.

All suggestions are welcome to solve my nightmare

We are using Configurable usb loader to run the game, and i've tried ripping the game on there twice now, just to be sure.

I set the video to pal 60 , and changed the ios to 222, 223, 224, 250, etc, but i've not had any luck, game wont load, i'm just left with a black screen and have to hardboot the wii ..

    I guess i'm missing something here ?
