I've got a similar problem to skatermark420. I'm running Band Hero, it all loads (using USB Loader GX) and can play (using 223), microphones are detected etc. but the music store doesn't have any songs listed for me to purchase. I've updated my Wii Shop to v20 using the guide here with the latest IOS56 installed.

I've also tried deleting any saves on the wii system memory to make sure that wasn't causing the problem. I don't have any DLC content at all as I'm yet to download/purchase anything.
One thing is that i have a PAL region Wii and the game is NTSC, could this be my problem? I've tried forcing the game load to NTSC and that doesn't change it.

    Thanks.

Is there anyway around it, apart from the obvious?

I'm assuming that installing the shopping channel for NTSC/US region is a no-no

I managed to solve it by getting the pal version of the game.

Okay, so I can't figure out how to get my USB microphone to work with Rock Band 3. My wireless guitar works, no luck on the microphone though. I use Wii Flow to open Rock Band 3, and I set it to open with the iOS 232. When I click on the game title in Wii Flow, it selects it and there is this hissing static noise until I click the "play" button. Everything seems to load fine AFAICT, I just can't get the microphone working. :/

I have softmodded my Wii using this guide.

    Here is my syscheck:

    Spoiler

Can anyone give me any guidance on this please?

EDIT: I went ahead and did the softmod guide again, incase that was the problem. No luck. I also tried to load Rock Band 3 in Configurable USB Loader. When I clicked on the Rock Band 3 game in Configurable, the irritating static noise happened also. Could my ripped Rock Band 3 be bad? I tried to load RB3 under ios 223 in Configurable; however, it just froze. Running the game under the normal Configurable ios seemed to function normally.

I am really confused on this issue. :/

Okay, I tried ios 222 today via Configurable. Still no go. The microphone's power light is on, so I know it is getting power. The power light even flashes a couple times when the game loads. The static sound still happens when I select Rock Band 3 in Configurable, even with ios 222. I don't know what else to check.

I have followed this guide and after installing hermes I tried using ios 222-mload and 223-mload to install/play the Rock Band 3 game from my external HD using Configurable USB Loader v58 and both caused my wii to lock up with a blue dvd light. I also tried it with ios 247 and 248 which will let the game load and play just will not let the instruments work. Any ideas of what I might be doing wrong? Thanks for any help

I was finally able to get the instruments to work by updating the cfg usb loader from v58 to v70-222 and then when I changed the ios in the new version cfg loader the instruments worked.
