Animal Crossing Black Screen
Hello All,
I'm running a D2Pro9 V2 at 3.1U and have been playing backups for some time. I use wiu1.1, ImgBurn and Verbatim DVD-R disks. Occasionally, I run across a back up that gives a black screen and freezes the system, but I've just DLed a different version and all is well. The other day I DLed 5 different versions of Animal Crossing City Folk and all get black screen. I've been reading, but not sure if it is a firmware problem or I just haven't found the right back up. I've read some about the Homebrew Channel, but I don't play homebrew or use the internet to play. Any thoughts?

boot it in geckoOS
or get the IOS 38 update, thats been floating around
those are the only way to make it work

Thanks Admiral,
The GeckoOS thing is a little confusing to me. Since everything else has worked OK, I hate to screw something up. I'll search around for the IOS 38 undate. If not, is 3.3 the firmware to ungrade to or is the newest one (3.4) OK? If 3.3, any suggested guide?

AC uses 3.3
to use gecko OS, install HBC, then get the download for gecko OS, make a folder in the root of your SD card, called Apps, then put it in there and make sure there is a file called boot.dol or if its older elf
to use IOS 38, install HBC, get wad manager and do the same for Gecko OS, but also make a folder in the root called wad, and put the IOS38 in that, run it and install it
either way its quite simple, if thats too hard for you then just install 3.3 or 3.4 since they dont affect mod chips
