Just so everyone knows, this game works perfectly on cIOS249 rev 20. I had a friend that had all of these same problems and when we installed cIOSx rev 20 it worked fine after that... maybe you should update? This is what helped us hopefully it will help some of you.

Leave 249 on rev17. It is the most compatible version to date. If you want to install rev20b for something else, install it as 248 or 250.

Did you try running it from the disc yet?

Oh I didn't know rev17 was the best. I'll downgrade.

Haven't tried playing the disc yet. Wanted to get past this without doing that lol. Because there is really no reason it shouldn't work.

I tried USB loader GX just for grins, freezes in the same spot. USB loader GX has a lot more options than wiiflow, I think I'll mess with it some more. If all else fails I'll try getting past the cutscene using the disc...... So lame........ LOL

Are you sure you installed 222v4 correctly? That is the recommended cIOS.

yeah fairly certain i've got it installed properly. did it a second time just now, for good form.

I'm realizing I can't run the game, legitly, because it would require me to update. The disc channel wont allow me to play it. I'm 4.2 softmod

In other news, I'm realizing how much better wiiflow is than usbloader gx. The install game function of usbloader doesn't even work :S Not to mention wiiflow looks way more polished

About at my wits end with metriod: other m *cries* LOL

You can run the game from the disc channel by blocking the updates with priiloader. In USB Loader GX you just insert the disc in the drive select install and it will install the game to the external hdd.

    OH .... MY .... Gosh....

Well my Metriod: Other M is working like a CHARM NOW!! Using wiiflow, ios222. The ONLY thing I did differently from previous attempts. I turned OFF subtitles, in the game menu. I guess the subtitles were causing the game to freeze at that same spot. I'm a fan of subtitles so I put them on by default, just for grins i turned them off and SHAZAM!! Success.

Might include that tip on the opening post. Try running game WITHOUT subtitles

    I feel so noobish LOL

Ugh, just beat Metroid: Other M for the billionth time! This game was sooooooooooooooo short. The graphics were outstanding though. I also compared composite to component cables with this game, and component were WAY better. They don't make much difference on some games.

I know this isn't really on topic, but if you live on eye candy, get component cables!
