I didnt try installing 223, but 222, during installation, it does some stuff, then it says "bad hash"but ill try 223
I've been playing this game with flawlessly with no issues up till now. I think I'm near the end of the game and my wii freezes after a certain cutscene.
My wii has system menu 3.2U and I was playing it using USBLoader GX with Ciosx Rev19 (ios249) with base ios 38 I believe.
I also tried Ciosx rev 20b but my usbloader doesn't even boot with that, so im back to rev 19.
I read some other posts and people said that I need to install hermes 222/223. I found this guide on the "Problematic dual layer games" thread:
Would this work on my wii? Would it cause a conflict with ios249?Code:Download cIOS222 and cIOS223 -- Copy the .wad files to the Wad folder on your SD Card **Remove all GameCube memory cards and controllers** Load Wad Manager -- Select IOS249 -- Nand Emulation <Disabled> -- Source Device <SD Slot> Select cIOS222 v4.wad -- Press A to Install -- Wait -- Done -- Press A Select cIOS223v4.wad -- Press A to install -- Wait -- Done -- Press A Press Home to Exit.
I think it might have something to do with the layer break.
I copied the ISO to my drive with WBFS manager so it automatically removed the update partition.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Just for reference, this is the cutscene where the freeze happens:
It's the cutscene after you kill the metroid queen when you finally meet the real Madeline Bergman. It's really long and it ends with MB calling all her minions to come kill you. Right at the end of the cutscene where Samus tells Madeline to watch out, it freezes.

@Warsong - No, IOS 222/223 will not conflict with your cIOS249 at all. You'll be fine installing it. And it's really the best way to run this game so far.
Okay, odd issue i guess, never encountered this. I have an old 16gb kingston data traveler that i used to have for usb loader GX. i upgraded to a seagate freeagent go 320gb external hard drive. neither drive ever gave me any issues loading and playing games. i was experiencing a loading issue... a door wouldn't load for me.... no matter what i did, it wouldn't load. this was the game loaded on the seagate 320 gb. i put the game on the kingston 16 gb, and the door loaded for me.. i was able to continue.
anyone ever experience this?
i made it to the next save point with the kingston flash, but didn't save. i deleted MoM from the seagate, and re-loaded it, and im gonna try from the save point before just prior to the door that was giving me trouble, and see what happens. i shall post results.
update : removing MoM from the seagate and re-loading it worked, i was able to pass the point that wouldn't load before. very strange.
Was having odd random freeze issues and kept having to reinstall the game every now and then. I found a piece of software called Diskcheck by crediar on a famous torrent tracker. It basically checks the data on ISO's for missing or corrupt files. I checked a bunch of releases with it and the only one that doesn't come up with errors is the scene release from Bioshock. That being said, I ran the iso through Wiiscrubber and scrubbed it, then I check it again and this time it came up with errors on the game data partition. Since most game managers scrub the iso's before installing them, my guess would be that the game breaks everytime it is installed but you might get lucky enough to get yourself past a sticky spot. I ran a few tests using http://cfg-loader.googlecode.com/fil...s_file_2.9.zip to make a 1:1 conversion to wbfs (using option -1 -0 -f, its command prompt so no fancy gui) and then reconverted the wbsf file back to ISO so that I could scan it and it passed without errors.
I use wiiflow 2.1 and ios249,38 rev20 and it works fine.
