    Arc Rise Fantasia

Aloha everyone, yesterday the american version of Arc Rise Fantasia released and it seems theres already a problem with it.

Im not too sure if its because im playing an Ntsc-u game on a european 4.1 pal wii ( never caused any problems before o.˘)
But the infamous speaker buzzing returned!

Right at the moment where the mr main character and his prince want to back up the "strange man" in Jada, fighting against some skeleton thingies the screen freezes and you hear the melodious BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

    Anyone encountered it already/solutions ?

    /edit

Im using the most recent update of the cfgloader.

    /edit once more

    I was using someone's "ws_arf_ntsc"
Im now checking about the Bioshock "bs-arf" one.

    /last edit

    Someone's "ws_arf_ntsc" was the issue.
The bioshock dump works perfectly fine.

I have someone's also, it locked up on me during a cutscene the first time but the second time it seemed to work fine...but I havn't gotten to the part you are on yet so hopfully it doesn't lock up. Was busy trying to get Metroid 3 to work so didn't mess with Arc Rise yet.

Seem to have a lot of problems on Wii games Shame because my Xbox360 never locks up or has games running issues...doh. (Also a shame because Wii games are often much more fun than Xbox)

I know this is a week later, but just to put it on this site...install ciosx rev20 with ios56 as base. Install in either slot 249 or 250, then run the game with the appropriate ios. Worked for me.

I did exactly what you did and it worked. Three things come to mind,

    1) Did you boot the game with 250?
    2) Did you use the most recent version of base 56
    3) Did you use the newer ciosx rev 20 installer?

I can never find anything around here..where are the Ciosx downloads? I notice everyone using rev 20 so it must be good

    Red face quick fix

Okay guys, I had the same problem as seen here. This is the path I took to fix it:

First of all, I wanted to play Arc Rise Fantasia. All went well until jada where it kept freezing after the cut scene. I read up to see what I could do to fix the problem for that one game.

I came across someone writing about the benefits of "Pimp my Wii", which would automatically check and update your wii's cios, software, and other things it suggested to sty ahead of the curve. After using it, I agree that it is a great program. It updated all of my wii's functions flawlessly after about 20 minutes (I was extremely out-of-date because I's really cautious about updates and anything else of the sort so I don't screw up my carefully-attained settings).

It worked great! Except when I went to open my usbloader GX, which no longer recognized my USB HDD.... T-T

After reading some more on forums and other sites, I found about five different possible solutions, many of which would cause more finaggling with software and other things....so I did the simple thing => download and install newest version of usb loader GX.

Great! After installation, my drive is alive and recognized!!! After trying a few games, I put on Arc Rise Fantasia (love the battle system >.<) and tried to get past cut scene. We have improvement, there is no longer a buzzing noise...but it's still frozen.

So, I did some more reading (u can tell I'm a noob, right XP) and I found more options.

    Here's my settings:
    Wii 4.1-U
    Softmodded
Cios249 rev19 (+ updates from "pimp my wii" [including Trucha bugs])
    Latest usbloader GX

Instead, I did one simple thing, read carefully:

    1) Open usbloader gx
    2) click on Arc Rise Fantasia title
    3) When box comes up, click "settings"
    4) Open Load Settings/Game Settings (I don't quite remember)
    5) Make sure you're running game on ios 249, if not, change it so you are
    6) scroll all the way down and turn the "reload ios" option off
    7) save settings
    8) turn on game
    9) load game
    10) skip cut scene by pressing "+" then "A"
    11) hold your breath
    12) a) enter battle successfully
    b) freeze again, wimper a little, and keep up the search

I hope this helps at least one person......HAPPY GaMING!

install this with wad manager in homebrew MEGAUPLOAD - The leading online storage and file delivery service
then make a folder called update in the apps file in the root of the sd card and put this there cIOSX_rev20b_Installer.zip <- the ciosx
go to the homebrew channel and click the update folder use ios 250 use 56 as the base
now in usbloader select the game go to gameload and change the ios to 250 and hit save (i say do it here so it doesn't affect your other games)
if it still freezes go back to game load and make sure it still says ios250 for some reason in mine it doesn't always save then try the game
Sorry my spelling and my typing skills both suck
