Wierd discovery when experimenting with USB Loader GX (multiple versions)
OK. I love to experiment with technology a lot. I downloaded multiple different files for USB Loader GX. Before I had this issue with PoP, I was using Revision 907. So I looked for a way to fix it for this specific loader. In my search of wiihacks.com in this specific thread, I found Revision 921. I discovered after I downloaded it that it's a .dol file (which must be loaded with Homebrew Channel by creating a folder and putting the file in it) , not a .wad file (which installs it as a channel like what I'm used to). So I made a folder in my SD card in the apps folder and put the .dol file in it, started the Homebrew channel and loaded it, set the game to Force NTSC, set it to load with IOS 223, and booted the game. It worked.
After I discovered that it would work that way, I went in search of a .wad to install it as a channel instead. I found the site that these files come from, so I downloaded the .wad file of Revision 921, put it in my WAD folder of my SD card, loaded Homebrew Channel and went to WAD Mannager, installed Revision 921, went back to the Wii Menu, booted up Revision 921, made sure the setting to PoP were still set correctly, booted it up...and....it froze. Very confused I was at this moment, but to further experiment, I went back to the site where GX comes from and got the .wad file and the .dol file of Revision 930. I did everything I had to do with both of those files and loaded the game on each one both ways (as a channel and from the Homebrew Channel) and....it froze. This really boggled me.
So how come the game will load with Revision 921 only...but aslo only when it's from the the Homebrew Channel as a .dol file?

Reason: Thanks for the Great Wall of Text --- I mean China
How long did you play it the first time? just a quick load of the menus and then back out or did you give some good game time? my guess is it would have froze the first time as well, given enough time.
I actually have gotten very, very far in the game.
kain_cobra@ you used the 921 mod dol.......it is a temporary fix if you wish to load the game with GX (it isnt official release by the gx people).......
(gx is the only loader that doesnt want to load the game)
Black screen when quitting Pop
I've been getting black screen when QUITTING the game and returning to Wii menu. (cIOS rev19/Neogamma R9b12/WIP)
As I posted before, the game is playing fine for over 3 hours w/o freezing, pressing the home button does not freeze the game as well.
My only dilemma is that I am unable to return to Wii menu without holding down the power button on the console
Anyone else has the same issue? (If not, something is wrong with my softmod) Does CFG perform without such an issue?

@Frankyz: I got the same problem, doesn't bother me that much actually...but if there is a simple solution...
-edit- running with CFG by the way

I've had this issue with other games but not POP. I never found a soloution. If you just hit reset and you wont have to power down
