Doesn't work with USB Loader GX.

Yes this works on the PAL game. You can also just use the latest Version of Configurable Usb Loader and it has a built in patch. Link in the first post.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Unhappy no speech on NTSC-J system

Tried the new scrubbed main.dol, but game is without speech nor subtitles when loaded.
when I try changing forcing the langauge to english in Neogamma R9 or GeckoOS
I get a black screen after all the company logos (right before the 4 sentences animation).

    any ideas?

While it's an entirely different game, I found Dead Space had to be set to (I can't remember which) either "default" or "wii" in order to enable speech. Setting to english as example netted a game without speech. I've not gotten PoP so cannot say if similar is true or not. How does one get the game without speech in one breath, and a black screen in the next one (unless you're speaking of Gekos).

when loading it with neogamma all setting as mentioned the game works and is completly playable (but has no speech).
The moment I tried setting the langauge to english / patching video / etc. I get the black screen described.
I when I put the langauge on autoforce or wii default it doesnt help.

If you're playing an NTSC version (you didn't say either way) why are you patching the video? It may be the fact your Wii is a Jap wii, not sure. You'd have to provide further details as in what softmod did you perform (wiihacks? other?) and System Menu version...

Dead Space had to be set to system default with Neogamma, if that helps. Sometimes using out of region games and using anything other than the disc or ISO as default will do this.

    To quote WiiPower
    Region free gaming:

Most if not all games from other regions should work, the only known problem is that about 50% of them only run the in the video modes of the region the game is from.

Requirements to get import games working:
    - Use the video mode from the region of the game, in SoftChip and NeoGamma it's disc region video mode
    - Some games require that you force the language that is used in the game(example japanese for japanese games...)
    - Some games require to enable the option „Contry String patching“ (in for example NeoGamma or SoftChip)

    sys menu 4.1J, cIOS38 Rev17 and neogamma R9 v10.
I also tried with uloader and geckoOS.

I'm loading dvd backups, the game is NTSC, and its main.dol is patched according to the begining of this post.

    Thumbs up Success!!!

patched the main.dol file (not sure if I needed to patch it) and using cIOS38 Rev17 with Cfg USB Loader v56b4 (the update with PoP patch) confirmed working. i got passed the boss in which you have to cut off his head 3 times and still no freezes. one thing though, make sure that in the game settings that everything is turned off and that the game language is set to game default and not english. i had it set to english and it kept freezing. after changing it to default, it played everytime. Hopefully a patch will come out soon for USB Loader GX, as I use this primarily to play games and Cfg USB Loader only for backup.

If you need it, PM me and i'll send you the patched main.dol file.
Just download WiiScrubber (find it yourself), run makekeybin.exe and follow the directions. Open wiiscrubber, load the PoP iso and click on the + on partition 1. right click on main.dol and select replace. Locate the downloaded main.dol file and voila. close wiiscrubber and you're done.
