My bad guys. It worked now. I was wrong when I selected IOS37 at first.
IOS249 > IOS37 as a base and it will work

    Thank you

Have only skimmed the last few pages of the thread, but I've heard from other places that it is actually possible to run it through Neogamma. Any word on this? The OP doesn't mention it, but it also is half a month old. If you know anything, please link to a trustworthy guide/post, if possible.

EDIT: Could someone more knowledgeable than me tell me if this method for Neogamma is safe/reliable? If multiple methods work, are there any specific advantages/disadvantages to various ones?

    Fen,
Yes. I have it working with Neogamma. Having a few underscan issues like I mentioned before on page 38. I think there are enough details to get you through. The tutorial posted here says it's for Disc or USB loading but I've had the same problem with USB Loader GX where it says something like Searching for your slow USB device. Once it times out, it gives the option to search again, and has 2 buttons, IOS 249 and IOS 222. I see no 223 option and so was not able to get the USB loader working. I'm not sure If there are no underscan issues with USB loading, but for now Neogamma has been loading Tri just fine for me. I've been playing online too. HEEYAHH!!

    Has anyone tried this way?

My First post, Sorry I was too busy searching

I Just got the Wii this week , hacked and setup thanks to Wiihacks, Excellent site.... anyways.....

I had the problem with the Beep and then I tried to use the Solution from the first post using 223 to load MH3 and that just lit up my Wii drive and left a message on the screen saying "Please Wait...." Both resulting in me getting up to have to RESET the Wii.

Here are steps I took and perhaps they will help you as your posts have helped me.

Im running 4.1E and the ISO Game is running on my USB Harddisk.

First I ran pimpmywii to check to make sure I had all the latest IOS files etc...

Next I installed the latest cIOSx REV19. Now here is the trick! When installing 249 rev19, you need to install it with base 37.

I ran the game in CFG Loader, but im sure in theory it should work in all , just with the copy I have I had to Change the setting to NTSC and run the game using 249.

Hope this helps coming from a Noob Thank me if it does

Thanks for the info; I didn't see that before. So, who are the people claiming that CIOSX rev19 causes issues? I ask because I want to know the likelihood of the merit of that before I install it. Could a mod/higher up comment or a normal user link to somewhere that one did?

I'm not sure about what type of issues they're talking about. I believe I also said something about rev 19 with IOS 37 breaking WADmanager, but I believe 1.6 solves this problem. I've been systematically checking out all my games. Just tried out Mario Kart Wii & Tatsunoko v Capcom (to see if there was going to be an underscan issue because I read somewhere it's a Capcom thing) and just to make sure everything's ship shape. Everything seems to work for me. If I could just solve that MH3 underscan problem, I'd be gold.

Thank you in advance for all your replies!
i normally use Neogamma R7 for backups(dvd), but i started using DARKCORP v1.0(full), i read some people used this to get MH3 working and i tried it and it works 100%. i was getting the freeze after i pressed begin game when using neogamma but with DARKCORP it works fine! you can just play NTSC(or whatever region your wii is) games through the disc channel. hope this helps you!

I can see how mods get mad when users arent using the search button or reading through the thread..... I have posted up a way to use the IOS 249, Its a simple method, I only had the Wii a week and was able to get it to work.

It's not a matter of getting it to work for many users so much as getting it to work in a way that we know is going to be safe and not cause any complications in other areas. cIOSx rev19 has been questioned by several users in this thread, but I've yet to see a mod or more reliable member comment on this. I'm really wanting to, though.

C'mon Fen, I'm not a moderator but no guts no glory. It works! Just try it out! Take the plunge. At worst, if you have you NAND backed up you can restore it. Just make sure to backup your game saves first.
