Found it - Works like a charm.

Once your at the screenw here your backup's are shown for the USB HDD...
You press (-) which takes you to the main menu and right at the bottem - their should be an option saying 'Boot Disc' = your game flowing like a charm (MH3)

(For those who rely totally on BackUp discs... - When you go onto the CFG USB LOADER --> Load onto your SD Card if you are not using a USB.)

*I have no idea whether I am repeating someone elses post from this thread, however this information is provided from my personel experience at this moment of time*

Black Beep Screen of Death Problem Solved!

After struggling with this for many hours, I finally got the game working! I wanted to post my version of the solution in case it may be helpful to others.

I am running 4.1E softmod, IOS 249 Rev 20. The game is a physical disc that I purchased, Japanese NTSC version.

I followed the guide exactly, but encountered many problems in trying to solve this. First of all, I could not install IOS 222 and 223 at first due to the "SD Hash: BAD" problem that some others have mentioned. I solved this problem by installing rev 17, then the IOS installed with no problem.

However, when I tried running CFG loader (ver 68) after the installation, it just froze up on the first screen. I figured it was probably because it was a newer version of CFG loader and rev 17 wouldn't support it. So I re-installed IOS Rev 20 (base 57 I believe).

Then, I tried running USB Loader GX and CFG loader, by placing my 2GB A Data thumb flash in the correct port. USB Loader GX start putting out a black data screen as if it was starting to work, but then just froze up. I could get CFG loader to boot the disc by using my SD card, instead of the flash drive. I got in there using IOS 249 to boot the disc, but of course it did not work. I could also get into the menu using IOS 222, but that did not work either. If I selected IOS 223, the loader just kept Re-trying to read the flash key over and over with no success and I could not get to the menu page to boot the disc.

Just as I was about to give up, I downloaded ULoader 5.1D. It still did not read my flash drive, but eventually I was able to get around this and it read the disc. Just to make sure, I changed the options to NTSC. Finally, success!!

Anyway, I hoped this helps someone. Thank you for the original guide also!!

Hey people, I've been trying to play my Monster Hunter Tri back up disk, but i keep getting that famous buzzing error because I am not loading it with the right cIOS. I've read all of the guides on this, but I don't know where to go from here.

I've followed all of the steps of this guide (except for installing the 25 wads cIOS which mauifrog stated was "kinda important"). One of the guides says I need the Hermes cIOS 223, but according to this guide, I already have that. I am unable to access the menu by pressing "2" while on the CFG USB Loader. Any advice on how to proceed? Thanks guys, I've been tackling this problem for weeks.

Your asking about that guide within the thread of this guide?

The guide I am referring to is http://www.wiihacks.com/wii-games/56...ter-3-tri.html by Davepm. The reason I am asking here is because I need to know if I have the cIOS 223 installed (by following this guide), and also whether the CFG USB Loader installed with this guide can choose which cIOS you want to load a back up with using "2" on the wiimote.

That guide have instructions for installing it? Cios overwrite each other and you obviously can't access it.

Then, about the CFG USB Loader installed with this guide, is there anyway to run dvds with the loader? I read that by pressing "2" when you load the loader, you will access the system menu, or is that only with Uloader?

Discussion moved to the correct thread, perhaps you should heed the wise words of oddgriffin of stating your problem belongs in the MH3 guide.

    Easy Fix

I found a very easy fix if you're using Configurable USB loader, all you have to do is click on the monster hunter game and click options and change IOS from 249 to 248 it should work flawlessly.
