Only change the IOS that MH3 uses in the settings. Do not change the boot IOS. Yes all of your games will still work if you only change MH3 to use IOS223.

I did get mine to work as I knew it would have been an ISO issue as with most games if they don't work on on an ISO setting try another I did stumble upon a Google search this same thing to use 223.
Tho Everyone should have Hermes installed regardless of what games use it I know my very first attempt at a softmod got me installing that.
Might not hurt to mention seeing this is a sticky that some users Might want to force there Region display to Pal or the ntsc 50/60 hz modes depending on there region.
I use PAL if I set NTSC some games have no color.
tho I have only ever used wiiflow and LoaderGX and they do great job so no need to switch loaders.

Tested with wiiflow 222 and 250 ...No success.. May be if someone with 4.2E version and this game working can send the syscheck report I can check if I have an IOS issue

Hi guys, first of all, I must thank ShadowSonic2 for posting the Wii Hack guide for 4.2U (LU40). It's working like a charm. But here's my problem:
It's been a long time since I've softmodded my Wii, and only now I've managed to buy a Samsung 320GB HDD. After a long time trying to install some games successfully using Hermes IOS 222 configuration on USB Loader GX. But Monster Hunter Tri is more complicated.
Since I've been trying to run the game, I've installed a lot of crap in my Wii.
First thing after softmodding was installing the Hermes 222/223 cIOS, that was ok.
Then I've installed this cIOS38-Rev14 by following a tutorial.
After that I've installed a cIOS37-Rev19 by following another tutorial. Monster Hunter is still not working.
Now I'm trying to install Hermes cIOS 222-223 again merging both 37 to 38 using this tutorial but I'm having a Bad Hash error and I don't know what's causing it or what's the solution.
I don't know if I'm messing a lot with my Wii and I've stopped to ask you help. What do I do? I'm afraid that if I do something wrong maybe my working games will stop working or my Wii will brick.
Sorry for my english, I'm brazilian.

Hi, I've read the guide, and tried to install Hermes_cIOS222_223_installer_3.0, IOS223 as 37 merged with 38, but there isn't such an option for me in Hermes...
I have a Pal Wii, with original 3.2E and Homebrew Channel installed, every other games work with Neogamma, but I can't play Monster Hunter no matter what I try...
What should I do? If i update my Wii to 4.3E will it work? Is that safe, will my HBC still work? As I need it for non-pal games...

Do NOT update to 4.3 (for any reason).
There is no reason the cIOS installer wouldn't give the option to install IOS223 as 38 merged with 37...
You can try this...(This is well tested).
Install cIOS222/223 v4
Download cIOS222 and cIOS223 -- Copy the .wad files to the Wad folder on your SD Card
**Remove all GameCube memory cards and controllers**
Load Wad Manager -- Select IOS249 -- Nand Emulation <Disabled> -- Source Device <SD Slot>
Select cIOS222 v4.wad -- Press A to Install -- Wait -- Done -- Press A
Select cIOS223v4.wad -- Press A to install -- Wait -- Done -- Press A
Press Home to Exit.
Note: This will install Hermes cIOS with the recommended base IOS.
IOS222 Is installed as base IOS38.
IOS223 Is installed as IOS IOS37 Merged with IOS38
