Theres a very easy way to fix MH3 use this tutorial it worked for me

Monster Hunter Tri on ANY loader (even disc)

Here is the easiest way to get this game working. Just install cIOS249 Rev19 with 37 as base (IMPORTANT). This will even work from disc on Neogamma.

RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting

    1-Extract rar to desktop.
2-Copy cIOS Rev19 Installer folder to Apps on your SD or USB.
3-Place IOS37-64 WAD in the ROOT of your SD or USB
4-Through HBC, run cIOS Rev 19 installer CHOOSING wad INSTALLATION.
5-When asked, choose 37 as base (IMPORTANT)
6-Play game with any loader using 249

    Enjoy

cios37rev19 ...that is in the not recommended guide ..it break wad manager ..triiforce

Using ios223[37+38] is better if your disc loading just use uLoader for the games that need ios222/223

    Download this: Hermes_cIOS222_223_installer_3.0_(rev4).zip
Extract / copy it to your apps directory on your SD card.
Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer
Read the warning message and push A
Select IOS249 to perform the install with D-pad left/right and push A
Select to Install Custom IOS 222 and select IOS38 merged with IOS37
Wait for download and installation to complete
Start HomeBrew Channel and start the cIOS 222 Installer again
Select IOS249 to perform the install again
This time select Custom IOS 223 and select merge with IOS38 and IOS37.
In your USB loader, make sure to load with CIOS223 when you're booting the game.
Hey there! thanks for the tutorial, but....I have run into a problem. Everytime i choose "merge with IOS38 and IOS37" The screen freezes and nothing happens. I have tried to install the Custom IOS 222 and then i choose merge with IOS38 and IOS37....but that freezes. and then i also tried directly installing the Custom IOS 223 and then also clicked merge with IOS38 and IOS37...but that also freezes. What do i do? Thanks for any help given!

Start the game up with your favorite USB loader and play!

If the game fail boot, play around with the options like "error fix 002" and "force NTSC".

    good luck and have fun

At first I had the same problem, after following watermelon22's instructions GX wouldn't work but CFG would work, then because it was driving me nuts, I had to figure out why, what i did to get Monster Hunter Tri working with GX was:

At the bottom of davepm's original guide there's a link to download "USB LOADER GX" after you download simply rename it to Boot.DOL and in your SD card open up the apps folder and then USB LOADER GX's folder and delete that Boot.DOL and replace it with the one provided by davepm, put your SD back in your wii launch GX and make sure your settings are using CIOS 223 to boot and there you have it GX will now run Monster Hunter Tri (For me at least) Thank You davepm and watermelon22

sorry for the late post but i just got the game... Hopefully this helps

Game working, but Wii freezing after end credits

Hi Guys, I have a 4.2 softmodded Wii using WiiFlow and got Monster hunter tri working by just messing around with all the settings in wiiflow (Thanks guys by the way :P) But I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced a wii freeze after the ending credits of the game. I guess it is not the worst thing that could happen, but I was going to finish the game, get the after game extras then carry on playing it...but since I have found out that I can never actually get past the ending..sort of lost interest in continuing playing. (Finished the final Quest 3 times now, but each time after the credits have rolled, as you collect your rewards everything freezes)
Would be interested to know if anyone else has experienced this.

    Thanks.
