Red steel 2 tranfering to HDD

Well I downloaded red steel 2 and tried transfering it to my HDD (using WBFS manager 3.0.1) it froze up after a few seconds and task manager wouldn't even end the process so I restarted and tried again still froze up after some seconds. I tried redownloading WBFS didn't work, redownloaded Red steel 2 didn't work. So, I tried a different game (Wii sports resorts) which was on the HDD and I took it off and deleted the one on the hdd and tried to put the game back on it. still WBFS manager froze up.

I haven't added a new game since I now have Windows 7 but it did work when I had Vista is there another manager that's better or would work or change somwthing in WBFS manager?

Sorry if this is the wrong forum wasn't sure which one was right

I have noticed having problems with WBFS freezing up too on a ISO copy or even a HDD to HDD copy. But I've also found that if you just wait it out, it will eventually come back. At least this has been the case for me multiple times. I have no explanation for this. I was doing an HDD to HDD backup and it kept freezing over and over again. So I said %*$& it and went to bed. When I woke up in the morning, the drive had completely finished copying though, so it must have worked. I don't exactly consider it patience... but the end result was the same!

Format your drive to WBFS again and download this:

RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting

Now try to add game with this.

@ wadder- I just tried that and it didn't work, formatted hardrive and used taht other manager. Then I found another manager that still didn't work. (same problem with freezing after few mins)

I don't know what could of gone wrong really I have used this hardrive before and never had a problem. Then I get new comp with windows 7 and try and add a game and this. It doesn't seem like it would be the OS but don't know. I used the hdd with wbfs manager 3.0 on another computer before to place a few games on it and it worked (this was about a month~ ago) then yesterday I try and add red steel 2 and this happens. I was able to extract all of the game's iso's but can't put them back on.

@cyber crud ill try that if it doesn't work tonight but it seems to be doing this with every game and it would suck if I had to do taht everytime (and it might not even work) :/

With all due respect, WBFS Manager is crap. Try the Wii Backup Manager, I have never had a problem with it.

if he already has the ISO on the PC's HDD then space isnt the problem.

There is also no problem with WBFS manager and windows 7 , ive been using Windows 7 x64 since the early beta's.

I also cant understand how you can think too much space could ever be a problem.

He is right wbfs manager does suck wii backup file manager is better and does more with less resources
they will release a new wbfs manager version soon i can only hope it does what wii backup manger does and more. Maybe reinstall the software

I use windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and i cant seem to clone a 320 gb hdd in under 7 hours use to take 6.

8 gigs of ocz platinum 1066 ram
    windows 7 64 ultimate
    amd 965 overclocked to 4.0ghz

I think my problem lies with my external hdd's
    only 5400 rpm on each

seems if i use the external hdd's that are 7400 rpm they transfer faster
but i have to plug those in bummer
