Unhappy Metroid Prime: Trilogy, Launch Issuses!!!

Hi I'm currently running a softmodded 4.1E Wii with USB Loader GX. I have loads of games that work but this one seems to have a specifc problem.

I can launch the game off my USB HDD through USB Loader GX and it will load into the menus but when it actually comes to selecting a game to play, the screen flashes green for a split second after the loading screen and then I get taken back to the Wii Menu. This happens on all three of the games and I can't think why. Please Help!

    Thanks in advance

    Game Details:
    ID: R3MP01
    TYPE: PAL

You failed to search. The game uses an alt.dol to load. You need to create a save file in the game menu and then exit the game. Go into your loader and choose the alt.dol(there are 3, one for each game). When you pick the alt.dol you want to use it will load that game and bypass the menu screen. There is a guide on the site if you dont understand.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Yes this is the guide. This is all you have to do...

EASY WAY (TESTED) (Credit to dfgas)

    1) Insert the Disc and launch NeoGamma R6/USB Loader and launch game without alt. dol but with the 002 fix on and create a save file

    2) Turn the 002 Fix and alt. dol on and select the .dol from discs, if you want to play a game, you select its .dol so:
    a) rs5mp1_p.dol = Metroid Prime 1
    b) rs5mp2_p.dol = Metroid Prime 2
    c) rs5mp3_p.dol = Metroid Prime 3

    3) Select the .dol for the game you want to play, the game will launch directly and will not load the trilogy menu

If your loading from USB then ignore the part that says insert disk, just go to your USB loader and start the game and create a save file. Exit game, change the settings in your loader to the alt.dol for whatever game you want to play (1,2 or 3). save the settings and it should load.
    Damn I suck!!!!

Well I found the setting I needed to update USB Loader GX I'm using r919 now. By the way the channels also avaliable for download are that actually as risky as they seem also what do they offer?

"Revision 919, compiled at Sat Feb 27 20:17:46 UTC 2010 - These channels are untested by the team, and can easily brick your Wii!"

It just means they aren't qualified as stable releases and haven't been tested as much. If your talking about installing GX as a channell there is no problem doing that but it installs to your NAND and takes up some blocks. Are you launching it from the HBC? You can use a forwarder channel as well which doesn't take up any blocks on your NAND.

Yeah I'm currently using a fowarder and I find with that I just wanted to know what it was, so its basically install USB Loader GX to the console itself rather thatn running it from a SD card for instance.

Also I just started playing Metroid Prime 1 never played any of them apart from the 2D ones but I've heard good things, so far its pretty awesome loving it.

Yes thats right. If its installed to the NAND there is no need for the SD card. I also run mine from forwarders.

Glad you got it working, I recentlly finished the first one and started the second the other day.

    Great game, Cheers.

.... so there is no way to actually make this work like the original, so you can just select what game to play from the in-game menu? gotta set the right .dol everytime? or is this just something you do the first time like with sports resort?
