the wii I bought from here needs 120 v input.....how is this tackled ? using a voltage convertor ? are the convertors reliable or can they mess up the console ?

where could you get one in mumba ?
approx cost ?

Any input on this is appreciated !
Yes you will need 240v to 120v power convertor.
A good quality power convertor should be reliable enough and can cost around 500-600 Indian rupees.
They should be available in Heera Panna in Mumbai.

You can also buy it in US ( which i would recommend )

One of my friend has an American Wii since past 8-9 months and is using the power convertor without any issues.

hey, there are 2 options

get the universal adaptor (fairly expensive) say 30$ or so here in india

or go to a hardware store ask for a stepdown transformer (5$), usually red in color, looks like an adaptor with a 2 pin input (make sure it steps down 240V to 120V),

downside to 2nd option is that it gets really really hot, like burn your finger when u touch it hot .... also if u put up a usb hard disk, the wii shuts down every 20 minutes or so...
