can i get a guide on h ow to burn SSBB please

hi,
i have Wii 3.3J, and i dont know what mod chip i have, and i dont know how to check..

i downloaded a Pal SSBB, used Brick blocker for the update, it comes up with some weird message in japanese. and i have to restart my wii.

I heard, if i download Japan version of SSBB, and update my wii there. and i can then play the Pal version, is that true? (coz i never updated my wii chip)or do i have to do any layerbreak with the pal version or do i need to brickblock it, or change the region?

any specific speed recommanded for burning them?
