Steve, if your game console is marked for sale in the US, Canada and Mexico, and the same is marked on your game's box, go ahead. I just did and everything works fine. But yet I don't have homebrew and geckos installed; my back up copy of GH III works after the update. I updated both via wifi and from the GH:A disc.
