PAL games dangerous on NTSC - Wiihacks

Hi everyone, I've yet to mod my wii but I've been getting stockpiles of games. I've read alot of threads to be carefull if playing a backup of a PAL game on my NTSC wii... but looking at torrents there are 10 times more PAL then NTSC files out there.. so my question is;

If I run WIU, I can change region from PAL to NTSC and remove any updates on the backup prior to burning my backup? Will I be 100% safe, or am I still risking a bricking. I know nothing is 100% safe, but is my best bet to run WIU, regionfrii and brickblocker?? or just one of those. Or should I not even bother with the PAL versions?

Never heard of PAL games bricking a wii before. Then again it might happen.
And if you use eitjer WIU or Regionfrii it shouldnt be a problem..

games that are from a different region then your wii can and will cause a (semi)brick if it contains a update. As kinkybajs said use either of those programs and you will be fine, i personnaly use WIU because it brick blocks and allow me to change the region.

OK, Thanks guys, so from what I understand even though I remove the updates I still need to change the region for it to work. And there is no danger in doing so?

One more thing, since I bought a fit, it updated my wii to 3.3U. Did they come out with an updated hombrew channel disc or will I have to use the new twilight hack to install homebrew?

you will need to use the twilight hack hack to install HBC. you dont need to worry about region patching if your modchip supports region patching which most of them do.

i have a jp wii when i asked to mod it they told me its need Wiki but the question is its can play a usa and pal games without any dangerous or i should buy a use wii version ?

Just to be on the safe side, I suggest you use WIU on all .iso files.. it takes two seconds to region patch the game and brickblock it as well

after i use this program there is no problem ? and dangerous cuz i dont know what to sell my jp wii and get usa one or just mod it

that is correct, use this program, change the region to yours (jp) brick block it (removes update) and burn... you'll be safe

if you change the region to jp, does it also change the game language?
