Some people have said that the problem exists in the save game creation for some games, like Lostwinds: WotM, but if the savegame file existed on the nand when it was dumped, it would be ok.

I haven't tested any new games lately, I've been too busy customizing triiforce

As for steps to get it working from a usb drive, the steps are the same as the SD card guide. Just put all of the nand folders on the root of your USB device's Fat32 partition. Don't install the forwarder though if you intend to launch triiforce from the USB drive though (i am currently launching it from an S card, but the nand and games are on the usb device)
I have the forwarder installed now and run from SD with no problems. I am only interested in a few WiiWare games, so I probably dont need to do the USB install.

I might do it just for the fun though - I love getting this stuff working ....

I guess I use the USB Files in the Tutorial - do I need to remove the forwarder then?

Well, the forwarder provided in the guide looks for the boot.dol on the SD card. If it can't find it, I believe it launches some built in triiforce v5 (I may be wrong, I've never had issues with the forwarder). Smyers75 made a forwarder that looks for the boot.dol on a USB device, it's somewhere in the guide's last 10 pages, I'll have to add it to the front. I will probably still keep the boot.dol on my sd card because it has space to spare.

    wow, ok. odd. hmmm....

i've played this before (when it was installed as a channel, i do believe). and it worked then, using the same install, i installed it and used triiforce. now it just locked up on me. going to keep trying it out. but you might have an issue with that one if its a must (i'd be inclined to say that it bored me however...)

Not a must, just reviews seemed good.

I am running now with WOG, Tetris and Bomberman - all great and on the SD which has lots of space, so I dont think I will bother with the USB dump just yet.

What are the benefits of going USB? I have a 250GB WD passport with 2 partitions, WBFS 200GB and NTFS 50GB - I can easily make the NTFS 40 and create a Fat32, although this may cause issues as the Fat 32 needs to be active.

I dont expect to put many more wiiware games on - actually finding them is proving harder than I thought.....

it's not that hard if you search for wiiware on this site

Search for wiiware > Titles only and it's the third post:

    http://www.wiihacks.com/games-homebr...l-console.html

One benefit of going usb for me was i could use my SDHC card again for emulators and whatnot whereas triiforce does not support a nand on an SDHC card. I also wouldn't hold my breath waiting for this support to pop up, so if you install a lot of wiiware that exceeds the limit of your SD card, then USB could be the way to go.

Also, if you didn't have a big enough SD card in the first place, but are USB loading, then all you need to do is repartition your hard drive and you are good to go.

Thanks for the link, I wasn't expecting to find the titles to DL from here

I have enough space on the SD, so think I will stick with that for now

    Thanks again man, really helpful.
