I have a Wii with the latest 3.3U firmware, with a modchip. It's the US version. I got a original copy of GH Aerosmith, and when I plopped it in it asks for an update. I updated my wii online, with the same message appearing, but after the update everything works fine. Will the GH Aerosmith brick the wii if I proceed with the update the game asks for? By the way, I use a mac so I can't use brickblocker, unless there is another solution out there. Thanks!

If you already updated your wii to 3.3U then the game should not prompt update unless the game is from a different region in which case do not update from the game.

The game is for USA, Canada and Mexico, and the wii i got is the US version. Yeah I know that should be the case, but, it isnt'.

If you are 100% sure your game is the same region as the Wii then go ahead and carry out the update as it that is safe to do.

I am very pleased to announce that I updated the Wii through GH:A and it went ok without bricking. Hence my sleep time today was further delayed by the first 3 songs on GH:A. I am very happy. And will go to sleep now.
