is there a programe available that checks if an iso is " a good one"
xbox 360 users have the programme abgx360 GUI do we have one???
i have burned 30+ working wii games myself but recently any i do end up in the bin
ive been using memorex dvd-r ( guy in maplin said thats what he uses)
download wiu 1.1 this will tell you if the iso image is the correct size, also its a good patcher for wii iso`s if you need to patch them.
other than verbs any G05 ritek dye disc should be ok, i use datasafe G05 and haven`t had a bad burn yet, unless the image is dodgy to start with, hence wiu 1.1
hope this helps
If the iso is 4,699,979,776 bytes, then its a good iso (single layer game).
If I have helped you in any way, please thank me by pressing the little thanks button.
Also, when you go to burn the ISO, click on the box that say "verify disc", that will let you know if you created a bad disc.
Memorex is not a good choice, same goes for ritek, I'm not saying that you will get a bad disc or a bad burn, but I will say that your chances of getting a bad disc is greater than if you use the recommended brands, (1) Verbatim DVD-R and (2) Taiyo Yuden DVD-R, and these disc last longer too, if taken care of.

yeah im gonna have to go with those coz ive just made myself another coaster with my memorex
When I burn a DVD, I made my own rules I follow
1. burn at 4x
2. verify burn
3. turn off all processes that use a lot of CPU resources (make sure the virus scanner and screen saver don't start running, and no surfing the internet)
4. no multi tasking, start the burn and leave the computer alone until the burn is complete
I get a good burn on every disc I burn, unless the media was junk to start with.
What game give you a black screen, the disc may be good.
I really don't go looking for processes to turn off, just make sure you dont have other programs running in the background.
