New Super Mario Bros Question

Ok so I got the game working last night just fine and have been playing through no problems. All the sudden tonight when i turn the wii on there is a system update icon in the disk channel. it was not there last night. im on system menu 4.ou. the game was this rip:

which said it was patched and scrubbed with wii scrubber. i turned off the auto wii connect thing so i have to be prompted to get online to even download anything. i have a soft modded wii and really dont want to update if i dont have to. can i leave that there with no issues? the game starts and runs fine without prompting me at all about the update other than the icon in the system menu. oh and i am in the us with an
ntsc wii.

don't update and you should be fine, if you patch it then the update on the disc should be remove, I know I did it with mines and I never got a update thing pop up with nsmb...
