New Super Mario Bros Guide For SD Card only

Hello,
this is for anyone with an SD card that cant get it to work or
whatever.. If you can't get it to work with a disc or usb hard drive try this..

1st - Partition the sd or sd/hc card into 2
partitions.. Acronis Disk Director Suite is what I use. Have one
partition for the game fat32 (just format it later through WBFS Manager
3.0); size at least 400 mb, and the other partition for homebrew etc.

2nd - you need a wii game back up loader, get Configurable USB
Loader v48b.. It has a patch already in it for NSMB

3rd - Put the Configurable USB Loader v48b onto your Homebrew fat32 partition of your sd card

4th - Format the other partition to wbfs with WBFS Manager 3.0 and add New Super Mario Bros to it..

*so you should have by now an sd card with Configurable USB
Loader v48b on one partition(fat32) and the New Super Mario Bros game on the other partition(wbfs)*

5th - Put the sd card in the Wii ; load Configurable USB
Loader v48b

6th - Select sd/hc for the device and choose the partition that wbfs is on

it should load

You might have to install cios rev 10 instead of cios rev 14 if the sd card doesnt mount.

Configurable USB Loader v48b already has a patch in it for New super Mario Bros so you don't have to have a patched iso.

I will help out if something doesnt make sense lol this is my first guide..

Nice. I've been using two SD cards to play, one for HomeBrew and the other for NSMB. Later I started the game from NeoGammaR7 installed as a channel.

Can I get the game to work on a 2 gb SD card, or do I need like a 8 gb SD card? Or do I just put the programme in the SD card and burn NSMB to a dvd, will that work?

Very nice guide. I won't be using an SD(hc) card though since I am loading off of a USB HD. :)

I'm just gonna try and format the whole 2gb SD card, but WBFS Manager "cannot format the drive"

any ideas

hi, open Acronis and delete all patitions, start over.. Create new partition ,mark as primary and give it a name, make it at least 400 mb for new super mario bros. After that create a anothrr new partition and mark it active and name it, (its for your homebrew apps). Just make sure the 400 mb partition is on the left (so its the 1st partition)..Then in WBFS manager, select the partition for new super mario bros.. IF that dont work you might want to change the DRIVER of your sd card so your pc will recognise it as a hard drive and not as a removable device.

yeah 2gb would work, make sure to have at least 400mb for the 1st partition

How do you make NSMB.iso be 400mb when mine is 4GB?

Open the iso in WBFS manager and you will see it will come out to about 350 mb.. or get a scrubbed copy of the game.

I'm about to give this a go, but I don't have a clue about how to mess about with iso's etc.
I just don't fancy wasting a DVDR for a 350MB game.

Just a quick one, can I not just mearly use the whole download of this which you've provided for the v48 USB loader?
As in just extract it straight to my apps folder on the SD Card, without overwriting files etc?
