black and white pal games
i have hardmodded my wii some time ago but recently wanted to use a HDD for games instead of burning them. other reason is pal games stopped working after foolishly updating and wanted to try USB loader.
Problem is all the pal games i currently have all play in black and white now loading them through neogamma and usb load and ntsc works fine.
Other problem is that band hero works on dvd w/o neogamma but not usb loader gets error 002...all this softmod stuff is new to me trying to grasp it all =(
if you "force NTSC" they should play in color unless you modified the DVD for video. Had that issue once did what I said above cleared it right up for Raving Rabbids PAL verion on NTSC
I use USB loader GX and it has an option in settings for "Anti 002" which will clear up the error and allow the game to play.
force ntsc worked for most of the games, thank u. couldnt get pal version of wii sports resort to work in color and realized theres some newer anti piricy stuff...just downloaded ntsc version . i need to read up some more. band hero, gh5, nsmb. but again thank u for the help
Change the forced region to your region, or what I do is set it to WII.
PAL game black white or Green screen
I am loading games from HDD using USB loader GX. So far so good. The only problem I have is with PAL games. I found that most of the PAL games played fine if using the force NTSC setup. However, if there is 002 error and both 002 error fix and forcing PAL were selected at the setting, a green screen showed up and the Wii froze up. However, if only 002 error fix was choosen, and the forcing NTSC was left out, the game played fine except that there was only black and white.
So this means that there is only software incompatibility. The 002 fixing is fine, forcing PAL is fine. Only when they are combined, they don't work together. Anyone has a solution?
Does the usb loader not have a "wii" option in the region settings? If it does, try it. That wont force the ntsc, but rather force it to use the wii default video to run.
