    super smash bros,brawl not working.

I got my son super smash bros,Brawl for his birthday. It is the only game that wont play on our wii. There is nothing wrong with the disc as it is new, I got really upset to see my son upset on the day, he was so looking forward to play the game. The wii works fine it just wont play that game plus the wii has had updates. Please can anyone solve this problem,

    thanking you

Could be something to do with SSBB being a dual layer disc and some Wiis have difficulty reading them?

that would be true, but not for an original, right?

Probably is because it is a dual-layer.

I hear that a certain amount of Wii drives have issues with the dual layer games, even with retail games, fortunately there's only a couple of them at the moment.

Maybe a lens clean would help?

I also heard that a small tweak to the Laser can fix the issue, although how this is done is something I haven't looked into. Would involve cracking the case and invalidating your warranty though, if there is one.
