hmmm, not sure, does it give any message after 14/14 or does the command freeze?

I assume you are using the latest version of dop ios?
... make sure gc mem cards / controllers are unplugged
try downgrading 53 to a previous version, then upgrading to the new ios53

looking for some help. i applied the patch and burned to dvd fine. however, i have a soldered in wiikey and it says i must do a system update to play the game. i try to do the update and it fails each time. any idea on what i can do? thanks

i only have the hard modded wiikey, no soft mods at all and i don't want to mess around doing one. i just want to be able to burn the disc and play like all the others if possible

    Wiikey and no Neogamma

    Alright everyone,

I'm new here and I've just been reading through these multitudes of pages about this precious game. Here's what I did, with results that seem to be going pretty good so far.

    What I have:
    4.1U firmware
    Wiikey 1.9s
    Homebrew Channel
    Wad Manager v1.4
    And some IOS.

    What I think I did:

I'm really not a pro, nor am I really educated in how IOS work, but I've been reading around about the limitations of IOS and how to overwrite or use another IOS. I've been using the Qwiif release, NTSC, I applied the fix given in the guide. I did not brickblock it... yet.

I tried it out and had no luck as I expect. I started to mess with the IOS and quickly got the errors (ret -2011, ret -1209, etc.) This happens because of limitations set by higher firmwares, from what I understand? Anyway! I downgraded my IOS to IOS35 using CMDVDX35 and then I got in to Dop IOS MOD and installed IOS53_v5149.wad (from NSMB Wii req.ios.truncha FiX Wii-iND). This time it worked like a charm and installed without issue.

Threw the game back in, remember, Qwiif fixed iso and it appears in the disc channel. Clicked to start and played about 20-25 minutes. Got through the first sub-castle without a hitch.

Seems to be working just fine here. No neogamma (never used it), just wiikey 1.9s on 4.1U NTSC, some IOS changes, and of course the fixes to the ISO. itself.

Side-note: I did make two DVD back-ups of the game. One fixed with the patch (A) and then one with the patch and brickblocked (B). I ran the update with A and had no issues with homebrew, it just bumped me up from 4.0U to 4.1U. After that, I sorta forgot which disk was which and one of the two, A or B, will show up at NSMB and the other will show up as Wii System Update.

Arrow Can't open NSMB in WiiScrubber 1.4

I have downloaded at least 3 different iso from web. None of them can be opened sucessfully in WiiScrubber 1.4.

    WiiScrubber says:

    WII DISC
    -Partition:0 - UPDATE (0) (BAD)
    -Partition:1 - DATA (0) (BAD)

    ---------------------------------

    partition 0x0
    invalid header for partition: 0x1

    partition 0x1
    invalid header for partition: 0x2

    ....

Disc Data Size (...) aprox 140MB
    Cancelled unscrub

I can open all other isos that I have except NSMB. Do I have invalid ISOS ?

The reason I am doing this is to verify ISO image as none of them works on my wiikey2 patched wii.

    Thanks for hints.
    P.

    May be a bad iso.

The one I have has the name Nitro in the filename, is the patched one, comes up as 482MB in Wiiscrubber, and is the PAL release from a week ago.
Not really doing much Wii stuff these days.

If the iso will not open with WiiScrubber, tick the box that says Force Wii Disc. That's worked for me

    Retail Disc

Do I need to follow this guide if I am doing a dump my retail copy to my USB Loader. I find it much easier with my son just to have all this games in one place. I didn't download but purchased at the store.

    Thanks
