neogamma is supposed to go on the sdcard as it is the app used to play the iso. sounds like you don't have any softmodifications on your wii. i think you at least need homebrew channel installed to do this maybe even the cios installed as well. i would start to look for a tutorial in this forum on wii softmod. i apologize if i'm wrong but it sounds like it.

    My basic tutorial

ok so here it goes imma try and let u all know what i have done.. hope this helps

ive downloaded this file here from a private torrent i have uploaded it here for you.

    New_Super_Mario_Bros_Wii_USA_main.dol_FiX_Wii-iND.rar

    Extract that rar iv uploaded.

    then extract the ind-nsmbw

i then clicked on imagePatch (dos screen then goes away, not sure if it was needed there was no tutorial when i tried)

    Extract Imagediff.rar

    open ImageDiffGUI

browse to find the patch (qf-nsmbw.iso.imageDiff)

Browse to Foreign image (qf-nsmbw.iso extraced from the New_Super_Mario_Bros_Wii_USA_Wii-QwiiF. i extracted this file 2 different location. so i had 2 copy of .iso for the file)

Browse to New image (the 2nd qf-nsmbw.iso u extracted.)

click go. that will do its thing for a few min, if its done right you will know.

once u get a positive message it worked...

    load up WBFS Manager 2.5

Select your SD card's drive letter in the top left.
    Click Format WBFS.
When it completes, click Load in the top left.
Now move to the right hand side and click browse... find your ISO u patched and load it.
Click Add to drive, and wait for it to complete.

open with Neogamma R7 from usb

i hope this helps, im not very good at explaining things.

i have only tried this on the copy listed in the name of the file
    (New_Super_Mario_Bros_Wii_USA_Wii-QwiiF)

    ModChip Users:
-Try NeoGamma R8Beta7, which should be able to run the Game without any patches needed (Thanks WiiPower!)

    Neogamma r8 beta7: NeoGammaR8beta7.zip
Does this version of NeoGamma work OK with 4.2U system menu?

I am currently using a DriveKey modchip, however have the HomeBrew channel installed so I can run emulators.

I copied the files from that archive into my apps folder, and when I open Homebrew I see the NeoGamma application, but when I try to launch it my screen goes black and I have to power off my Wii to reset it.

Any thoughts? From what I read, since I use a hardmod (drivekey) I should be able to burn the ISO to DVD and launch it through NeoGamma correct?

Wbfs will format your usb drive for you and mount the game on your pc, then put the usb into the will and load with gamma

Okay I'm very sorry if this has been already asked, but I don't feel like going through the millions of posts on here.

Okay my situation is as follows:

I downloaded both the patched PAL version and the unpatched NTSC version. I used the wad manager to install the ios53-64-v5406.wad to my wii. I then used the WBFS Manager on my pc to format my 4 gig memory card, then saved the iso to the card (I tried each iso seperately multiple times each). I load up NeoGamma R7, IOS249 Rev14 and hit "mount SD/SDHC" and after a few tries it'll finally come up with "New Super Mario Bros. Wii". After I hit A on that it just says "Connection to WBFS lost". Doesn't matter what IOS wad I use, doesn't matter what region I use, doesn't matter if it's "fixed" or not, I still cannot get this stupid game to load. I'm beyond frustrated and about to toss this wii through a wall (not really, but I'm seriously annoyed at this point). Can someone please tell me why this game isn't freaking loading????

yes this is very wierd and you are actually the 3rd person i have heard of this happening to. i don't know why but one person was able to put his sd card into a reader and plug it into the usb port in back of the wii to get it to work. only thing i can think of is maybe the media is either going bad or just not compatible enough to work and the sd reader can do the job and send the data through. just a theory.

when i followed this thread my wii would not see the image i put on the sd card.

the WBFS manager said the game was loaded but every usb loaded i used would not see the game. i did the patch i posted and the wii seen the image right away on all loaders but only Neogamma R7 played it

i left all my files on the sd card but loaded the game to a 2 gig jump drive and put it in the back of the wii
