i have the neogamma r8 b7 channel, and i want to update it to b15. I downloaded it from the link that was provided by this topic, but i'm a total noob and don't know how to upgrade/instal it. Any help, plz? the b7 doesn't really load the nsmb game, and neither does the b12, i managed to find a hbc one, and still nothing. I have hard mod, so apparently all i need is this thing!!

EDIT: i found out its a HBC app and got it running, but i still get the #02 error (remove disk and reset error), help!!!! i'm using a not patched version of the iso

EDIT: up and running, i just hope it doesn't give the timed error that i've heard about!!! i had to put those wip files in like 3 diferrent places, until i got it right, lol

I don't know anything about neogamma ios and rev stuff
Thanks for you reply. Please taka look a my last post. I had some major spelling mistake. My friend with WiiKey1 could NOT boot direct from DVD, but after just adding the homebrew channel and NeoGamma he can boot up the disk with NeoGamma.

Does that mean that the HomeBrew Channel /NeoGamma TOGETHER with the chip can boot the game? Without NeoGamma he coultn't, and without ios249 I guess he don't have fully softmoded wii? Then I guess the chip and NeoGamma together boot it?

This flatmod V2 you say, is that a chip or what? Can you say that all modchip works pretty much the same, and all cable based modchip works the same?

And can my cable based modchip (D-Right) in some way interfere with my softmod for NSMBW? I got a D-RIGHT V1.1

    Thanks.

You might wish to clarify you meant R8B7 didn't load for you on an unpatched ISO; it loads fine for me and others (but certainly not all) with R8B7 and patched ISO. There is a difference in that.

Also if anyone is entertaining the thought of installing cIOSCorp, you'd do well in reading the readme on that before doing so. cIOSCorp overwrites almost all of Nintendos IOS with cIOS (Custom IOS) and may conflict with other softmods if installed.

Would you please re-write some parts in this guide, making it more obvious what combos that is working and not.

Like: Wii 4.1E+Modchip(Wiikey1)+neogamma+unpatched game on dvd-r WORKES

Wii 4.2E + Softmoded with NeoGammaR8beta15 and ios259rev14, patched dvd-r DOES NOT WORK?

    Thanks.

I have been having problems too playing backup NSMB on my 4.1E PAL WII through disk channel or back-up launchers, ive thrown about 8 discs away and lost nearly 24 hours of my life. Eventually i have got it working. My wii is softmodded CIOS38 REV14 with priiloader .30, CIOSCORP 3.5 PACK. After trying 4 different patched/unpatched PAL & NTSC versions i discovered that any one of these versions will work when loaded through ULOADER 3.2 (google for download zip and install the IOS and channel through wadmanager) choosing to load from disk when the "No USB device found" message appears. Dont ask me why it wont load through Neogamma but i couldnt get it working via that method and i tried all releases from R6 to R8 beta 15. Now if this helps anyone then please return the favour and help me get USA WIIZARD NTSC GHOSTBUSTERS working on my PAL softmodded wii on disc without using the eject method!!

OMG. That worked. I only added the uloader 3.2 in my apps folder, and then runned it.

Great. Then I know that my soft mod workes, just not with NeoGamma. Now I only needs to find out why my flatmod chip does not play the game direct from disk channel.

I shall try to play the game now, and see if I get past 1-2 (or was it 2-1 that was critical?)

    Thanks.

    Smile my 2 cents

hi just thought i would throw in my 2 cents.
i have got nsmb working or 5 wii's over the past 2 weeks all chipped, heres what happened:

waspchip *on clip) game booted from 1-1 copy of the game, the chip allowed the first update but not the update blocker.
    flatmii - same as above

waspkey. had to use neogamma r8 to boot from disk, has to be patched version of the 1-1 copy though 1-1 wont work (eject error) is you try and use usb loader gx it gets 002 error on both patched and 1-1 version of iso.

    flatmod- same as waspkey.
d2c pro. booted from patched game from channel screen (no loader needed)
virgin wii) only soft mod. runs from neogamma off of patched disk or usb drive but not off usb loader get the 002 error.

all the wiis mentioned are pal all running 4.1e firmware.
and all run other titles (mario sonic winter olympics and ghost busters fine)
hope this clears up any confusion for some people. thanks to dave pm for the guide.

IhateBush6, did you say you got this running of hardmodded d2cpro only.....no softmod or launchers? If so, can let me know of any patches to the .iso or what version etc. Thanks in advance

What do you mean with "the chip allowed the first update but not the update blocker."

I have a D-Right chip, (no soldering, only open and placed before the DVD drive) and I'm told that it shall be able to run NSMBW with a special patch (not the mail.dol fix). I run other games, but not NSMBW.

What do you say about that? Do all flatmod chip workes the same?
