I'm sure there's made about 100 of these threads everyday, however I looked through a few of them and they didn't really seem to be looking for the same as I am.
I just got my Wii and as of now I haven't tried any game apart from the Wii sports that you get with the console. Obviously I want to find out what this console is capable of and I can't just play any game to get an idea of it.
So I was thinking about getting myself another nunchuk and another remote along with wii motion+ so I can play with a friend.
And the games that I think could give me a fair overview of the usage of the Wii is...
Sports games:
Wii sports resort
Tiger woods 10
Grand slam tennis
Shooting games:
Resident evil (the one where you simply aim and shoot)
Metroid prime trilogy
Adventure games:
Mario galaxy
Zelda twilight
Other games:
Super smash bros brawl
Mario party 8
This should keep me busy for several months hopefully. I've watched some reviews of these games and they all seem to be sort of "unique".
Are there any...
- other games you would suggest a brand new Wii owner to get?
- must-haves that I've forgotten about?
- other games that gives a nice feeling with the controlsystem?

grand slam tennis or virtua tennis (i prefer virtua, its faster and more lifelike!)
Dead space extraction is good for a rail shooter.
Academy of champions football is wii motion+ and a good laugh.
for RPG you could try phantom brave or spectrobes.
the conduit is a decent shooter (and nice multiplayer too).
