I have installed 38 merge 37 onto IOS 222, and 38 merge 60 in IOS 223, following the Hermes instructions. No matter the settings in USB Loader GX, however, the game always black screens. Even using 222 mload through configurable USB loader results in a freeze at mload 222.......
Now, I am running 3.4U, and according to the 3.X instructions in post number 1 of this thread, it says I must upgrade to 4.1 first. Is that definitely true? I am hesitant because I have every other game working brilliantly from USB Loader GX under 3.4U (including Beatles Rock Band, Guitar Hero 3, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, Sports Resort, etc., etc.)
Does anyone else have Guitar Hero 5 running from USB Loader GX and 3.4U?
If I install Waninkoko's 4.1u upgrader, will all my lovely hacks, HBC, etc., etc. be ruined? It took quite a while getting my 3.4U Wii all tricked out...

Guitar Hero 5 DLC
Hi guys, I recently purchased a Wii, and successfully softmodded it. Now, I have the homebrew channel, which runs the USB loader and other stuff, and I successfully run purchased games as well as burned games (and load games from USB flash device). I also have successfully installed WiiWare games using Wad Manager. Now, I recently bought Guitar Hero 5 with a guitar (bundle), and downloaded GH5 DLC. I have all the song wads, as well as title wads. I have tried using the One-Up GHWT DLC installer to install the songs, and while it says it successfully installs the songs, they never appear in GH5's playlist or the list where you can copy to/from sd card. I did try and search the forums, and dozens of seemingly unrelated topics come up. I also perused the Guitar Hero 5 thread, but it seems to be just endless posts of people trying to get their game working, not trying to implement DLC. If there is a guide someone can point me to, or if someone can point me to the correct software to use, it would be greatly appreciated.
To be honest, I only bought the guitar and GH5 for the Wii to play one song--"The Day that Never Comes" - Metallica. If I can't get this working, I'll have wasted $90 :-(

If you already have USB Loader GX installed on your soft modded wii. Then you can get Guitar Hero 5 working by following these two steps.
Start up the Guitar Hero 5 game from the external hard drive by using USB Loader GX.
When you see the spinning disc...click on: Settings --> Game Load
1) Error 002 fix --> YES
2) IOS --> IOS222 (if IOS 222 does not work, then try IOS 223)
click on Save :-)
Enjoy playing GH5 from your external HDD :-)
