Thanks DEMO777 and Cyb3rFr34k between the two of your post i was able to get both guitar hero5 and band hero to work of usbloader gx. on system menu 4.1. Now i tried similar guides before as stated in DEMO's numorous times with no success, but then I deleted that IOS56 as you stated and bam they started working. SWEET. I used ios 222 to load. error2fix on.

    Hello,

My Wii is hacked with a chip and by simply burning downloaded iso's with Imgburn to a DVD-R I can play games. Guitar Hero 5 doesn't work for me either. My Wii is updated to 4.0E and I have homebrew updated to version 1.0.3. I've read a lot of posts here (not all of them though) and I'm confused with which method I have to use to get GH5 working. I've tried downloading and installing that cIO76 232 thingy but at the end of the installation I get a -1 error. And I used Wad Manager v.13 to install the IOS56-64 blabla.wad that was also needed. And I've also tried loading it with SoftChip R99 SPTC, but I couldn't select IOS232. With other IOS's I keep getting an error that it couldnt read it or anything (I enabled 002-fix). When I selected IOS249 it didn't show an error, but the screen just went black. Oh and I've seen USB-loader solutions, but I don't have a USB-hard drive for my Wii.
Can anyone help me? I would really appreciate it, especially because I already bought the damn guitar
And if, for instance, I have to downgrade my Wii's 4.0E version, what effect will this have? Will I still be able to play burned discs on my wii?

Can someone help me with the files for the run from disk option (the first one)? The link seems to be broken. Thanks in advance.

Hansvi, I have my Wii Chipped as well, but I also have a usb drive that I run all my games from. If your burned copy does not work right off the drive, then I would suggest trying these tools here....

CIOS 222 v4 + ANY IOS TITLE DELETER

Paste them in your root sd card. When running cios 222 use ios 249 to install from, and then select ios 222 then ios 38 merged with 37 wait until finished. Then load up cios 222 again. Select ios 249 to install from, select ios 223 then ios 38 merged with 60. Wait until finished. Use any title deleter to delete ios56 and only ios56. ios 56 is under the system ios. Afterwards use your softmod app. And select use ios222. and error fix2 if avail. The game should then run. Hope this helps. If you are stumped in anyway let me know.

I've tried this, and used Wii SoftChip v0.0.1-pre to run the game.
    It gives me the error:
    Exception: loctl error (DI_ReadID)
What does this mean, it isn't burnt correctly?

Well I have not myself used the softchip, not sure what the error means. I have used neogamma, perhaps you can give that a shot.?

    NeoGamma CIOS38 Rev 14
    NeoGamma CIOS Rev14

Also if all else fails try this to correct any Ios's that may be corrupted or not installed.

    CIOS Corp v3.6
    CiosCORP_v3.6

This will install numerous Ios's alll needed takes about 10 mins to install it is used for Softmodding and or running copied games. It will also correct any Ios problems you may have. Simply past zip contents to root of SD card then run from Homebrew Channel. I never installed the extras that are included. I only installed the reg folder.

    Hope this helps.

Also your error is listed here on softchips forum. Do you have Cios38 rev14 installed? and Ios 249?, If not run the CIOS CORP v3.6 It will put ios 38 rev14 on your machine. for ios 249 download this.

    CIOS_249

Your error is listed here ISSUE 95

Thumbs up This fix is working for me

ok guys this fix to let this game work on your Wii. guitar hero 5

it works through a disc loader.

I've downloaded this off Torrents (BTJunkie.org) Do a search "Guitar Hero 5 Fix" and then download the file..
*Guitar Hero 5 Black Screen Issue Fix (revised).Deathplay675*

In the file downloaded you should have Multicios folder, SoftChip folder, instructions and IOS56-64-v5146.Wad
    I didn't use the IOS56-64-v5146.WAD

Instructions are mostly read between the lines, so here's a more detailled way..

Create a folder called Apps on your SD card

-place "Muticios" Folder in the APPS folder of your SD card,

-place "SoftChip" Folder in the APPS folder of your SD card,

-place SD card in Wii run HomeBrew channel,

In HomeBrew Channel run "multicios", use D-pad to change it to IOS37 with IOS IOS37 as IOS232 and once that is done
    press *A* to install.

After the installation done, it brings you back to HomeBrew Channel main menu.. from there,

run "SoftChip", using D-pad make sure to Enable the 002 Protection fix. Then you need
to press the + button till it shows "Softchip use" -(IOS 36 Rev 1040), use D-pad to change it to *IOS 232 Rev 7*.
Then press *B* to return to the first screen. Put Guitar Hero 5 Disk in and press *A* to load the game.

I'm using from download *Guitar hero 5 USA Wii Sunshine*

    hope you enjoy the fix..

    Running off 3.2U Twilight Softmod.

I am playing the games using disc.

The Wii that I am using is modified.

So, does this guide work for original and copy disc?

Will I still be able to play the old games?
